did this movie make you angry for other reasons? it made me angry for many reasons. then i felt all silly for getting angry, and then i felt all hypocritical cuz of my altruistic "all things deserve serious analysis" b.s.

I mean, it sucked. Some things just suck. The Baltimore thing was just so random and distracting and out-of-nowhere that I couldn't even pay attention to the rest of the movie, beyond Bridget and I trying to figure out how the people might act different if they were actually from Baltimore.

I sat there thinking the entire time that the basic premise of the film is flawed. I mean I've never met a woman in my entire life who is more into the guy than he is into her. Generally, if a guy is hanging out with a girl on the regular, he, at least, wants to sleep with you. There's no way Justin Long wouldn't have made a move at the chick from Big Love ten minutes into the film. Wouldn't happen.
The only aspect of the film I thought was remotely realistic was Scarlett Johannson stringing along E from Entourage for the entire film. I've met way too many girls who feel the need to do this to a guy in order to feel validated with themselves.

It was a pretty good movie even if it was a bit unrealistic. I think it got the basic point across that actions speak louder than words when it comes to relationships.
As far as the Baltimore thing goes, I live in downtown Baltimore and yeah, Canton, Federal Hill, Harbor East, and Mt Vernon have lots of good looking, young, and successful people of all races. Baltimore is still grimey for the most part but most of downtown is for yuppies. I also read something about most of the bar and restaurant scenes having been filmed in LA.
