Great read Tom, your personal take is better than anything I've read on Michael Jackson in the last few days.
I'm very interested in a very public and open discussion to take place on how the court of public opinion cruelly and viciously destroyed such a kind and gentle soul. How people took and ran with accusations and charges that confirmed our worldview and biases without critically weighing available evidence and facts. Michael's value as a musical genius is undeniable, whomever wants to quibble with that is just not serious enough to be engaged on the subject. But those who just saw his eccentricity, his social awkwardness, his childlike demeanor, and recoiled and condemned to confirm their own prejudices is their cross to bear, not mine. I just wish someday they become better people for their own good.
