February:
David Duff will write a long-winded 'opinion piece', largely based on an article from that week's copy of 'The Business', expressing palpable glee at the prospect of some Middle Eastern country's imminent decimation! The obligatory Shakespeare quotation (for our host is awfully well-read) will be the rarely-seen 'Beware the Ides of March' passage from Julius Caesar.
Any subsequent comments will met with equally long-winded and increasingly snide replies (referring to the commenter in the third person, complete with 'witty' nicknames) berating the dissenting commenter's lack of education, experience, moral vigour, historical perspective and steely eyed determination, all written in the tone of the sixth-form bully from a Billy Bunter story.
The comments thread grind to a disinterested halt with when our host attempts to 're-educate' the commenters with his savage critique of Marxism, since anyone who disagrees with him is obviously some kind of un-reconstructed hard-liner.
So, much like last year and the year before that really...
