Hang on a moment, where are the tags? I looked for the "Random bullshit" tag and it was not there. When did this happen?
Now that time has passed and tempers have cooled, it might be worth re-visiting the whole sordid business of Crown v Mr Punch. Now there was an example of an unruly travesty of proper court procedure if ever there was one.

One thing which has always perplexed me is how the courts deal with issues of identity-coincidence.
For example, let's suppose that I am the defendant in a criminal case, and you are the victim. What happens if you're the same defendant as I am, and you are me, and we are all together. Is there a legal precedent for this sort of situation?

No, but it's probably not unusual in City fraud trials for judge, counsel and defendant to all have been together at the same public school.

For 'offing' a judge I would have been tempted to give him time off for good behaviour!
Then I would have written an equally feeble song.

Duff: agreed, the canon of Lennon and McCartney pales next to your favorite ditty, The Horst Wessel Song.

I thought about adopting the name "I am the walrus", in order to complain that They Has Taken my Bukit and ask for your advice about legal remedies. Does this website have a policy about LOLcats?

You really must take more water with it, 'WW', because I'm sure you meant to type 'The Hoarse Weasel' song, an enormously long-winded, tuneless lament written by someone with the unfortunate delusion that he possessed wit and intelligence!

Come to think of it, "Maxwell's Silver Hammer", with its subtext of 'Teenage test-tube-related sexuality -> death', is clearly responsible for the entire genre of teenage slasher movies. If Lennon and McCartney had not started us on this slippery slope to perdition, rather than polluting our minds with such cinematic atrocities as Friday the 13th, we would still be watching The Sound of Music. I know I would be, anyway.

Personally I find that the opening bars of that movie make me want to slash whole housefulls of people to death.
