It is very telling that they feel the need to raise doubt about Darwinism in order to provide and excuse to introduce ID.
Like, as opposed to providing evidence for ID as an excuse to introduce it to the curriculum. Erg.

Yeah, but it isn't, therefore they have to be ID biased to even get it a look in. Any mention of the mere possibility doubts about the ID theory (as per, oh for example, the ones they raised re Darwinism) would unfairly influence the kiddies, don't ya know? Heaven forbid the lack of evidence should make a difference. Erg.
There is nothing to be said on this topic that we don't already know. It's painful to watch it happen. Religion is religion, science is science - they've been enemies for centuries ever since someone resurrected the ANCIENT knowledge that the world is round and this clashed with the biblical map. Any olive branch waving is just going to end in shame and ignorance.
Ahah! I found one more thing to add about ID - and it is brilliant. It was a letter published in new scientist and it said essentially this:
The Creator made all we see.
Which begs the question "Who made the Creator?" The answer from the ID side is: no one.
People believe ID because they can't see how such a complicated thing as a living organism can "make itself" via evolution.
Yet they have no problem at all in believing in an all powerfully being spontaneously generating!
Yah.

Yeah, I almost didn't even bother to post it since I knew you lot of athiest heathen didn't need any converting; but it was such a lovely compact blatant example of double standards that I felt the need to share. I mean, how can you not see the folly attempting to support a theory for which there is no evidence by saying that the opposing theory has some gaps in the evidence that supports it. What? Are you joking? Are you mathematically challenged, and have somehow convinced yourself that the many small evidence gaps in Darwinism make it worse than the single evidence gap in ID (which starts at the beginning and ends at the end?)
They're really so deranged that there's no point arguing with them, but its still fun to point and laugh occasionally...
