Sounds like how F$$D appointed its strategic planning committees earlier this year; determine the desired result and appoint the people to deliver that result in the least intrusive way.
Funny how many names the BOMA and F$$D Board of Education have had in common over the years.

Is the Franklin planning, sorry ment Atty. Mr. E. still one of the talking 'heads' of this "NON"-profit ?

Instead of just bitching when someone else tries to do something, why don't you volunteer to do some work yourself?

Hey, for what it's worth, I was selected for one of the FSSD strategic planning committees and want to emphasize that I, along with several other committee members, both within and without FSSD, DID NOT agree with the FSSD administration's recommendations on several issues. We voted on these issues and the adminstration's recommendations were not taken--the group's recommendations were.
Annonymous, please don't assume that you know what happened in those committee meetings unless you were there. The planning process was difficult, participative, and democratic.

"I don't need a person from a utility company wasting their time on ... sustainability ... I need them to busy their day with ideas of keeping utility rates down."
Hey silly knucklehead. The point of Utilities spending time on "sustainability" IS to keep the price of energy/utility rates down.
You think an engineer would get that.

Alright, I'll try this one instead.
"I don't need a person from a utility company wasting their time on ... sustainability ... I need them to busy their day with ideas of keeping utility rates down."
You silly knucklehead. The whole point of the Utility Company spending time on "sustainability" is about trying to keep your utility rates down.

F$$D Strategic Planner...
I'll give you that I wasn't in any of the strategic planning meetings if you'll concede the appointment of the committees was a joke...parents and insiders hand selected by the BOE.
It is disappointing for so much dynamic thinking to be taking place behind closed doors and yet NOTHING makes it into the WAM for months and months and months.
Somehow the two seem incongruent.

F$$D SP it must have been a brutally difficult job for the finance committee given the current budget proposal only increased operating expenses a million dollars over last year.

How do you know none of us have
@ 1:42? Some have been active and encouraging conservation for ALL of Franklin and the County for twenty years Conservationist !
"Tree huggers" and those of us who supported our newer Storm Water Standards often asked for conservation standards of hillsides, wetlands and historic places. Mostly ignored and often given density while small rivers of mud running off projects into our once clear streams.
I suspect in this sudden new awareness of sustainability we should say better late then never however is this another token do nothing COF committee trying to attrack a large ECO group to relocate into one of our sad new empty buildings in Cool Springs.
BTW do you know where Cool Springs are located and in what condition are they ?

7:09 -- Did you just throw anonymous sticks and mud from the sidelines, or did you actually join committees, attend meetings, and WORK?

Yes I have WORKED and supported several organizations here and other states active working and promoting at Green living events and Organic farming and Gardening for many years. More recent attended
WM. citizen committee for our current Williamson County Land Use Plan.
We sell our own sustainable crops at our Franklin farmers Market.
I have been the person my neighbors call when they see the "mud" and "sticks" etc on their downstream property from new projects and I direct them to the place that should care to do the right thing for our citizens.
I have Organized neighbors at two different times for protection of several local streams working with TDEC/Wm. County Storm Water and wrote the needed TDEC letter explaining our concerns and requsting a Public hearing which resulted in protecting several blue line streams, springs and wetlands.
A few voices speaking up when it was not wanted by a few developers, local Government and even a few nonprofits groups cause we were on the density list.
So now it is your turn to be cool and sustainable, so go hug a beautiful old tree by the waters edge for me and your community.

Anonymous 11:11, the last information I have on “Cool Springs” is: CBL (The Mall Owner) is still responsible to keep the pumps running to move the water. There were two Raccoon Families, one Red Fox with two cubs and three Coyotes living in and/or around the Cool Springs watershed.
Next time you visit the area, drive up the entrance to Harley Davidson which comes off Mallory Lane, park your vehicle and then walk the entire stream all the way to Moore’s Lane. It is quite an interesting piece of real estate. Most especially, the inhabitants of that piece of real estate, (most of them have four legs and are nocturnal)
