I don't know if Rollins has the ego to take a trip to AAA. I sense he would become a distraction down there, saying things to the media that we dont need to hear from him. If Manual can humble him in a different way, it might help. I wonder if a trade rumor might rattle him enough to play better?
Who could you trade him to? With that contract? The total drop-off in power screams steriods too.
If the Phillies could dump him and his contract and his ego for a mediocre middle infielder and a prospect, they would do it in a heartbeat.
But I think Wavebacker right... if he hits .200 this season, the off-season they'll look to move him and offer to pick up some of the dollars. If he stinks all the way thru, he will so clearly needs a change of scenery that it will be almost inevitable.
