Vinnie agrees. Interesting how he, at no point, actually expresses confidence that Kolb is any good.
I'm sure it was an oversight on his part

I have to disagree with you on this one. Play Kolb now and you might as well throw up the white flag on 2008. It's a real gamble. The kid could impress or implode. I don't think you want or need any of the impending drama that will come with McNabb on the bench while Kolb is playing. The endless " What do we do with McNabb now?" or the "Bring back #5, this kid sucks" stuff. It's not fair to either guy to turn your back on the franchise QB 2/3 of the way thru the season when he's done so much for the team that he deserves better - just on past merit. Not only that...this can wait. There's still time to make a change, it doesnt have to be right now.
Yeah McNabb is playing badly now, but you hope the benching sent a message to him that he really needs to get his act together. It's not even fair anyway with the cast of skill players around him. He can't even be the best McNabb he can be because the talent around him is so-so. I also don't want Kolb playing on a short week on Nat'l TV at home vs a pretty good Arizona team. A real recipe for angst in Phila. would be a Thanksgiving Eagles game with a raw QB on a shortened work week playing for a team on the brink of packing it in at home. 610 WIP would have a field day all week.

Jeez man... you don't think WIP is having a field day right now?
I live in Philadelphia. I listen to WIP. It is off the charts.
I don't think you want to hold your qb decisions hostage based on what the staff and listeneres of WIP want/think. In fact, I would almost aruge that doing the OPPOSITE of what they suggest might get ten wins more years than not.

I would like to ask Mr. B if there are really such things as flea circuses. Mr. B, I await your erudition.

Chuckle... ranking the offensive talent around McNabb as "so-so" is generous.
Look, it is no disaster to play McNabb. If you honestly believe the Eagles can still make the play-offs as a wild card, you have to play him.
But the minute you no longer believe... let's play the kid, and play him more than a game or two.
You just got to settle this question. And since there is no way in 2009 McNabb is the starter, I favor Kolb. Lets get the learning curve going now- while the games are meaningless. Just realize every snap McNabb plays now probably is a lost cause- and at the expense of the guy who will seriously important in 2009. It is a substantial price to pay for a chance to perhaps salvage a busted season.
Of course, if you don't think they are meaningless...
