Basketball really could use a practice facility that's being discussed on YOGWF.
Thanks Gordon- hope family is well. I particularly like the phony "CB radio" talk- can never go wrong with that. People always talk about the foundations of rap and hip-hop, but there is no Run DMC or "Rapper's Delight" without a generation of bad 70s disco records featuring phony CB radio cut-ins.

Before we spend a zillion dollars- can someone point to, say, two mid-major programs who built a practice facility and improved the product? Because I can point to a ton of programs, in Philly alone, that play and practice in nothing great: Temple, St. Joes, etc. The Palestra (Pennsylvania) was build in like 1905 or so- and Penn's been the tournamnet repeatedly since Tulane has been there.
I just wish someone could point to a private school in an indifferent League that had success with this is approach. To get a Parade All-American, you might need all this nonsense. But to out-recruit our C-USA peers (Other than Memphis), I don't buy it for a minutes.
To spend millions on this, you need proof, right? Something tangible. Not "we need it because we need it".

What is the operating revenue line on Tulane athletics each year? Adding $500k-1M seems like a good plan if it costs $10M to run this thing, but not if it costs $25M
I don't know about schools that have improved themselves with Basketball practice facilties, but it seems like something you have to have to be competitive when you don't have a great program or are primarily a Basketball school. Here are a few schools that have such a facility:

In our case you almost have to have one because our arena is so small and out of date. We've also done so little to address BBall that it really is time to do something for the programs.
