I can be marked down as increasingly concerned.

I look at the Phillies rotation nd see an "average" number one- Hamels might win fourteen games on a good team so let's not crazy that he is that good. Kendrick and Jamie are both adequate number threes.

But there is no true two- that 14 game winner and the five spot with Eaton sickens me. Or is that Happ now? That all adds up to trouble- particularly if Pedro and Santana settle into something positive. Sanatana was a .50 itcher the first half- and Pedro was hurt- the Mets almost have to get more from those two by default. And those two strugling was enough to keep them a game off the pace.


Mr. B seems disconcertingly pre-occupied with questions of sport.
