SOMEBODY SET UP US THE COMMENT:

Gravatar Well, I hope the anticipation of waiting for your new Ubuntu isn't too stressful for you.

So, how is your class going? Any more interesting Shamanistic happenings?

Gravatar Ahhh, a life sign. Good, I'm getting tired of talking politics all the time.

I saw "No Country for Old Men" a couple weeks ago. It was okay up until the ending. I DID NOT like the ending. I honestly don't know why it won Best Picture. I also saw "I Am Legend". That one I liked, except for the zombie like creatures. But all in all I liked it better then the first movie.

So how's tricks, Anarki?

Gravatar David: well i AM getting stressed a bit here.. which version should i get? the 32-bit or the 64-bit?

my pc can run both and the 64-bit is newer technology, more advanced and secure and all but i'll be having a big problem running flash videos from it since adobe flash only comes out in 32-bit versions.

should i get Ubuntu, Kubuntu, or???

still, i think secretly that i will go with the easier-to-configure Ubuntu 32-bit version!

and no, since that day i've only seen him come once or twice to school.. we had a prep exam for the big test that is on the 25th, i think i did ok these guys have one big graduation test on the 25th of every month, i think i'll be taking this one instead of in May.. maybe.. i hope i did well. .
this is like the C-to-D graduation test, am still looking for jobs here and i SHOULD have sent my college transcripts for evaluation like a month ago but i keep forgetting. sigh. next week i guess..

oh and i like my in-laws. i really do

that is my life now in a nutshell!

Lynnette: No Country looked so.. not my type
as for I Am Legend like i keep saying it was excellent up until the moment the woman and the boy showed up. i mean, their sole purpose in the movie was to ruin everything and get him killed. and what's with the butterflies? whats with the stupid kid whose only line in the movie alerts this big roof-drilling zombie to Will Smith who was going to shoot him dead? argh! i dont want to rant about this movie! however everything before that blew me away!

oh and guys, have you heard about THIS movie yet? i already love it!

ok, have to go now, dinner time and i still have more study before bedtime.. sigh. never thought i would be one to actually consume 3 meals per day on a regular basis. thats what getting married does to you.. "eat your vegetables" and "take your vitamins" and all sorts of stuff my mom used to let me get away with.. NO MORE! ARGH!

Gravatar i mean, their sole purpose in the movie was to ruin everything and get him killed.

Maybe that was the only way he could be "legend"? I don't know. I wasn't really happy about what happened at the end there either. I like happy endings.

Yup. That looks like your kind of movie. I still haven't seen Ratatoulle(sp?) yet. Or "There Will be Blood".

Has she got you eating salads yet? I love a good spinach salad. Usually just spinach with onions, walnuts, Gorgonzolla cheese, mandarin oranges and the dressing of your choice. But you can vary the ingredients. Some people don't like Gorgonzola. Or spinach...

I hope you did well on your test and that the job situation starts looking up. Say "hi" to Mrs. Anarki.

Gravatar Salads? aaaargh. freaking lettuce.. ARGH!

oh and Happy Birthday Melantrys! will go off to her website and say hi again

Gravatar Lettuce, ugh. But regular meals aren't too bad, eh?

(Damned blueberry wine...)

I made some yummy falafel.

...

But

...

uh

...

you already know that, as I told you in that SMS, right?

(*must not forget to take some falafel to work with her, for colleague A. and for the customer/inventory helper Hatiçe to whom she mentioned she was probably gonna make falafel and who said she'd drop by to check on the falafel situation on Monday*)

Gravatar Sorry, I can't help with choosing any sort of new operating system. I'm still using Windows 98. I have the XP upgrade, but I need to buy a new hard drive first. I think I may do that this week. I've been procrastinating far too long!

Good luck with your graduation test! Glad to hear you and the in-laws are getting along well.

Gravatar so Mel, any presents? any cake? or you guys dont eat cake till the great Vegan Spaceship lands and you take over the earth and then celebrate by finally eating cake?

is there any vegan cake? i want some cake!

and i generally prefer my food to have had a face on it in a prior point in time no veggies! NO VEGGIES!

David: whoa! 98! NINETY EIGHT! i think microsoft actually stopped supporting win98! you know something? i still fondly remember Win98-WinME, damn good simple days! AND, whenever you do upgrade to XP, stick with it, its much better than this overhyped piece of junk called Windows Vista.. ooooh 17 more days! cant wait!

actually i can install the unfinished product right now and it will update itself automatically once the finished product is available, but i am just too picky! i decided to go with the older 32-Bit Ubuntu version!

thank you, did well on the preptest, still not as good as i wished for, still need to memorize a lot of stupid irregular verbs and stuff..

take care now! c ya round!

Gravatar Books, got loadsa books. *stares dreamily off into space*

No falafel? Hm. *offers you leftover hommus and marinaded fried eggplant slices from this evening*

Gravatar Salads? aaaargh. freaking lettuce.. ARGH!

Bwahahahaha! No, but I meant SPINACH! Yes, there is a difference. Really. (Even though it is green and leafy.)

Mel!

Happy Birthday! I'll have to click over to your blog...

Gravatar Sorry to shock you there Anarki. You're right, MS did stop supporting 98, but I never availed myself of much of their support anyway. Maybe I should have.

I have heard of a great many problems with Vista, so I will definitely take your advice and stick with XP, at least for a few years.

Right now, I am having some severe boot up problems. But, they seem to come and go, sort of like a phantom. I am typing this from the public library, who fortunately have no problems at all, plus they have DSL. I think I will probably have to reformat drive C and reinstall Windows and various other programs. I truly hate doing that. It takes me days to get my computer back to good working order.

Keep studying hard. I'm sure you will do well. Continued good luck!

Gravatar Computer update: I seem to have solved most of my problems by uninstalling and reinstalling Norton Internet Security. I think my problems began when I upgraded to Win98 SE sometime last year. I was reading a "readme.txt" for Norton and it mentioned the un-re install when upgrading operating systems.

Attawie has been having a lot of computer problems since she upgraded to DSL. I wonder if her problems could be similar to mine?

Gravatar I'm waiting for the OS that doesn't need to boot-up...is this it??

Gravatar Mel: thanx

Lynette: Spinach, Lettuce, Cabbage, i mean, what is the point of vegetables anyway?

David: well, the guys at Microsoft rushed Vista way too soon just to stay ahead of the competition (same as with the Xbox360, which is also has much more hardware/system issues compared to PS3 and Wii) anyway, 98SE is nice and as stable as windows could get
mind you, all windows are RAM-hogs, so better make sure your ram is 256 or preferably above, to run XP smoothly.
Vista? hah! the thing needs 1GB and still is very sluggish.. anyway thanx!

will have to put up a post soon, changed schools, this one starts next thursday, is basically a crash-course in Swedish, teaches the complete curriculum in 6 months (normal rate is like a year and a half or more, to pass SFI C, SFI D, SAS GRUND, SAS A, and SAS B, all with official exams) YIPES! they needed volunteers so i just went and signed my name, after an interview i got accepted! more details later! i literally cannot fail this one, if i do i get kicked out of the system!

regarding Atta, i have no idea, last time it was a virus, maybe i should go check..

Bill: well, not it, but real close if installed properly, it should take about 10 seconds from the moment you hit the power button till when all services are operating and ready! (dependant on hardware, but any 5-yr old pc or older can run it in complete comfort)

will install in 11 days and update on the result!
