This makes me so sad (a state I arrived at only after a period of blinding outrage). I had hoped that my husband, a Vietnam veteran, was wrong when he expressed concern -- even in the very early days of our involvement in Iraq -- that the anti-war nimrods would revive the practice of disgusting attacks on the troops such as he experienced, on a personal level. Surely we've learned from that, I thought. How wrong I was. We never, ever learn. Worse: In this, each succeeding generation of leftist ranters seems to sink to new depths.
