In my perspective, a border fence does absolutely nothing, and is a waste of money. There are better and more effective ways to spend the same money to keep illegals out of our country.
As for Kay Bailey, it sounds like politics to me--"see! I voted for the fence!," and then ignore the funding side of things.
But hey, that's what it takes to get votes in this country--I'm just glad she didn't support one more colossal waste of taxpayer money.
I agree that a border fence will not stop all illegal immigration.
However, it might give some relief to ranchers whose property is being destroyed.
I'm not happy with Kay Bailey's waffling, though, and have written to her.
