All I can say is "hahahahahaha" she is busted. I hate people like this! She has ruined her kids with all this "let's make money by suing." I mean it isn't every day that a unemployed JANITOR can have a $500,000 home. Now, how do ya think she got that house? It must have been time to put in a pool--so hey, let's sue Wendys. I am so glad this dirt bag of a woman is in jail, now they need to start reforming those kids!

I think Wendy's should sew this piece of trash and make sure that if she ever gets any money for anything that they get it. I think they should cut her finger off and stick it up her ass then send her back to Mexico. We do not need people like her in this country.

What comes around goes around. I hope she gets it up the ass really good from Wendy's. There's no doubt in my mind she planted the finger, and her dropping the lawsuit? Meant she wasn't gonna win and she messed up bad. I should sue her for mental anguish because I happened to eat the chilli several times and I have not recovered from the emotional distress

Kym -- I am in the process of reading blink. I think the book would be interesting for people who don't rely on "rapid cognition". I do -- so it is not as facinating for me. I can relate to the book though. I do enjoy reading about some of the studies as well and I have lots of thoughts about them!

I wasn't focusing on Ms. Ayala; I just talked about the food industry and how I wasn't surprised to hear that a body part got into the food supply.

On the right-hand sidebar of my blog, I've started keeping a little "news ticker" (links that are good reading, but I don't have any commentary of my own to add, so I'm not making real blog entries). That's where I have the updates to the case.

When the investigation is done I'll do a full blog entry about the results.

I'm so embarrassed at the prospect of being duped on this one (I blogged about it). Having read about the meatpacking industry in Fast Food Nation, it seemed like the kind of accident that was bound to happen sooner or later.

The reliability of my blog is important to me though, so I'm following the developments and am ready to print a retraction if necessary.

Cool. You know what struck me? It's an old trick a detective taught me. When someone is telling the truth, their eyes will dart in one direction (usually the right). That's why you start with questions you know are true, like name, etc. basic facts. Then, when you ask them the important questions, you note which direction their eyes dart. If it is the same direction as when they acknowledged the facts, then they are telling the truth. If their eyes dart the other way (usually to the left-the sinister side) they are lying. He exhibits this beautifully.
