"If we all think the same then no one is thinking."
-Eyes for Lies Reader

One of the surest signs of a liar is when a person goes on and on trying to convince the listeners, instead of just saying it straight out and expecting it to be believed like we normally do; because I tend to rattle on and on as a matter of course, I've had to learn to speak succinctly when it's important for people to believe me.

(honest but verbose)

Something just occurred to me. I would fit in the neutral category. I rarely show emotion when under stress. Why? Because I grew up with a compulsive liar...and I never knew what would come out of her mouth. I had to guard my own expressions...because if I didn't, she could get me worked up and I would fall into what SHE wanted me to do. Sometimes...taking the blame!
I bet I look suspicious most of the time.

You may guard your expressions but if you are still genuinely *feeling emotions* -- they will come through because you can't STOP THEM. Most people who don't show emotions, don't FEEL emotions.

I disagree. Hmmm, my earlier post must have been removed. I do believe there are people who do NOT show the emotions they are feeling. Most often they have learned this over the years. An example would be an abused child (or adult), people have experienced the horrors of war, I do think it happens.

R ~ I didn't see your post, didn't get it -- but I am not getting any Haloscan comments. I don't know what is up. Something is up with the system.

There are absolutely people who don't show emotion -- but when they feel it -- it does "flicker" across their face in micro-expressions which the average person doesn't see... However, for the pathological person, they often don't feel emotions so nothing "flickers". There are no "micro-expressions".

I've been waiting all day for your analysis! After this comment, I'm going to read it in-depth. I went on a bit of a rant at my place about the interview. But I'll not put your readers through the long version. Here's the gist of it:

I think we agree on the fact Joran appears to not be totally forthcoming. We just disagree on WHY.

I think he's just a young guy, and sometimes young guys make stupid decisions. Like leaving a drunk girl they just made out with, alone on a beach. And if something happens to her, and she goes missing? I can see a young guy lying about his whereabouts that night.

We're all adults, and we're judging what we would or wouldn't do, based on this perspective. Joran doesn't have the wisdom of our years. So he probably lied about the end of the night he was with Natalle, because he simply got scared when he ended up being the prime suspect. Just because he got scared and lied about dropping her off, doesn't mean he killed her.

You got another one. Adam Saleh was found guilty today on all counts but the most serious aggravated murder charge. He's getting 38 to life in prison. While there wasn't any physical evidence to link him to the crime, he made efforts to establish a false alibi, which, when discovered, convinced the jury of his guilt. I no longer disbelieve that lies can be discovered through body language.

adam saleh is my friend and has been since we was kids he aint do that shit the press and news just make people look bad just like with mick vick and the dog fighting thats all bullshit in my eyes
