You're right. You don't need a car seat on the plane but you do have to check it so you have it when you land.

no carseat needed... but depending on your child, YOU might need it. One of our children did just fine on the plane without one... the other... EEP. He definately needs to be strapped.

Have a good time visiting family. You can just let Julia sit with you on the plane or if it isn't too crowded she can sit near you. I would just put the car seat with your other luggage. Have a good flight. We will miss you xoxoxo

Yup, no need for the carseat in the plane. Faith enjoyed just roaming around in the plane seat instead of being strapped down so I think it's better to just ship the carseat. It's going to be high in the 60's and low in the 40's this weekend up here.. but sunny so light to medium jacket is enough I think.
