OK, so I don't have advice on salvaging your shoes, but I do know that Nordstrom has one of the best return policies around! My husband bought some shoes there. The first pair wore out in a funny spot, they replace them. The second pair did too, but they were replaced as well! He's had these shoes for a couple years now... 3 pairs for the price of one! I'm know they'd at least return the pair, and may suggest a good alternative...?

ooo ooo ooo! I so understand! I wear a 12W!! I so totally understand! Payless is one of the only places that I can acutally get shoes for myself. But, they give me blisters also. This is what I do. It's kind of a long process, but it works for me. The first day, wear your shoes only for about 15 minutes (on your feet time). Then increase the time by about 15 minutes a day. Wear bandaids if you have to. You just have to develop calluses (sp?) in all the right places. Unfortuately, all summer long of wearing sandals and whatnot makes our feet soft in places. If after a week, it's too unbearable, Payless will take the shoes back if you have a reciept. I've discovered that the more expensive DOES NOT mean better. My favorite pair of shoes were 3 dollars in San Diego 10 years ago at a pharmacy! Good luck!!

That sucks! Maybe you can take them to a shoe repair and have them stretched out?
