it does help to reduce phone calls, but I have some family/friends who don't bother to read the blog because they feel their lives are too busy for that. As for me, I think I'm too busy to keep in touch with everyone by phone/email so the blog allows them to read about my life if/when they are interested instead me forcing it on them when i want to call. I like this "passive" form of talking about my life

Lots of friends and family keep up with me through my blog and that is just fine by me! I do feel bad when sometimes I am on the phone with someone and instead of talking about something I posted, I will just say, "go read!" that may not be good.

I totally agree with you Amanda. I think blogs are a great way to correspond with friends and *some* family if you want them to. Me I don't..lol so I just let all of my friends know what is going on in our world on my blog. Oh btw I love your look for Christmas..very cute.
