Your daughter and my daughter would be such great friends! She is obsessed with pricesses. She wore her hallowween pricess costume while Christmas shopping the other day, and when people would comment, "Look, a princess", she would indulge them with a few twirls and a flirty smile.

Her grandparents have gotten her a Princess and the Pauper thing for Christmas- I've never seen the movie and don't quite get it, but my girl talks about it all the time - commercials and those button toys at Target perhaps! I didn't realize until yesterday that P & the P was Barbie - I assumed it was a Disney video thing! I'm not a big Barbie fan...

All that to say - you are not alone my friend! We tortured mothers need to unite for support and comfort. But I must admit - it is rather cute when kids come up with their crazy interpretations. For example - my daughter's boogers are "princess boogers" and her muscles are "princess muscles"...

Scary.. gotta make a mental note to keep Faith away from Barbie...She's always acted so tomboyish to me too but lately she seems to turn on the more girlish side. The other day we were at shopping at a kids clothing store and while I was looking at some shoes, I found her fascinated by toy bracelets and necklaces!

All I can say is THANK YOU for warning me about these toys! I will avoid them as if my life depended on it. (I am already forced to listen to too many inane children's songs - The Care Bears Christmas CD is particularly awful!)

Isn't it funny the way they just suddenly latch on to something, and then it seems their whole world revolves around that one thing that yesterday they didn't even knew existed. Silly girls! (Are boys like this too? Anyone know?)
