I like the new look! I agree with you. I just can't take all the decorations down right after Christmas. I kind of do it slowly, and try to have it done right after New Years.

And I hear ya on the toys! We have TOO MANY here, too!

I'm always amazed at families that take all their Christmas stuff down the day after. So many people on my block have already thrown their trees out. We usually keep ours up until the ornaments are ready to fall off. One year it stayed up until the first week in February!
