Kids pick up on everything, don't they?

I remember playing Barbies with my neighbors when I was little. They were in junior high and I was just 5 or 6, but they indulged me and played with me often. I never understood why they always fought over Ken. In fact, I didn't understand why my mother even bought me Ken (you know, with the cooties and all).

Then, I got older and started babysitting for this one little girl all the time. Somehow, Ken always fell for the sweet, smart Barbie rather than those bitchy, popular ones. (Not sure what the non-bitchy, non-popular Barbie looks like, but somehow there was always one who I could tell was different from the rest and must have gotten made fun of when she went to school--talk about issues!). The little girl I babysat for must have been so confused.

So glad to know that I'm not the only one who makes Barbie dolls fight.
