my husband now makes me keep ALL friggin reciepts. It is more of an effort to save money and store away for our dream home in VT but I am so screwed now. How the heck am I going to sneak new clothes/shoes/books/ANYTHING by him? I may have to resort to the lingerie method as well as the shoving of the reciept to the bottom of the trash one as well!

1. Remove all tags, stickers, etc.

2. Place articles of clothing (or whatever) where they go. IE hang them up, put them in the drawer, under the sink, wherever.

3. Shove all shopping bags, receipts, etc. to the VERY bottom of the garbage bag or can.

4. Tell hubby I just bought "a few things".

5. Never EVER go into detail!!

My mom did the same exact thing!!! Now I tell my hubby, but I always divide the actual price by 2. The truth would only hurt him.
