The Office Suggestion Box

Gravatar i've been warned by my friend - "they will ruin at least 1 shirt a week with that so-called washable tempera that isn't so washable." I hear clean it the moment they get home from school. and i would try pretreating with tide but that is all I can tell you.
i would put her in playclothes for preschool and save the nice stuff for another day.

Gravatar Dump clorox 2- I prefer the pink bottle - in your regular load, dump a ton in- and let soak. Also you can leave outside in the sun if needed. Also- baby Miracle Wash or the baby spot cleaners sometimes work. Heres the tip for the teacher- mix in dishsoap with the paint. It comes right out!! Is she new or what??? Geez.

Gravatar Well, a smock would be MOST helpful, but if the teach doesn't comply... try a good long soaking in Oxyclean. I'd say 6 hours or more. Soak again. For me, that stuff gets out most stains - I may need to resoak a few times - it just depends on the stain. Good luck!

Gravatar To think I thought I was the only one who had this problem. My son (now 4) has never once come home filthy or with crap all over his precious clothes. My daughter (age 2) had almost every single day since I have started her in day care. Markers, paint, stickers, glitter, glue... you name it. She's covered in it from head to toe. I got so upset over all her clothes being ruined that I went to the director. Her response was " If I come home messy, you know I've been having a great time mom". Ok, well I know have to dress her like crap cause got forbide she looks cute for one day.... that will be the day they serve something with sauce.

Gravatar It is not bitchy at all. Julia's clothes are getting ruined! I would just dress her in "play" clothes the days that they might be painting (maybe her teacher could let you know at the beginning of the week or something.) I am sure that there are plenty of other parents who feel the same way you do about new cute clothes getting paint stains. Sorry i have no idea how to get paint stains out. Did you look it up online?

Gravatar I just stopped sending my daughter is cute clothes. They would come home with food or paint on them. What was suggested to me by another mother was to send a cheap T-shirt for an older child with her. It covers her clothes completely (maybe not the socks), and even if it gets paint on it, you can send the same one over and over. If the stains don't come out, who cares? They only have to wear it when painting or when eating, and it doesn't seem to bother them as much as the smocks do. And I don't think it would be bitchy at all for you to ask that they put her in a smock.

Gravatar That sucks! Bella gets SOOOO dirty at school, so I don't send her in anything that is light colored or that I am worried about getting a little mucky. Can you give her a smock to put on her? Maybe Julia wont let her put it on her though! You should say something...

Gravatar Well that's stupid of the teacher not to put smocks on them. They did that at the preschool my daughter went to plus they even told me to send her in old every day clothes too. Still I would mention smocks to the teacher. I don't know if Shout it out would help, I use that for stains. Sorry I can't help you there.
