I can not wait to buy "real" furniture. Our first purchase that I am actually proud of is our kitchen table. Other than that, the rest of the house has been begged, or second handed to us.

The only "adult" furniture we have is on loan from my parents until they build a house. Hubby wants to buy a whole bunch of stuff, but I'd rather pay to get pregnant first. You know, priorities and all!

When I divorced hubby #1 and got my own place, the first thing I bought were two bedside tables. Good fine furniture! Hubby # 1 had no taste and never wanted to spend any money on real things like furniture. (that's another story) Anyway, I can relate to your glee at this purchase! Congrats!!!!

Ahh... our enormous entertainment center/display case is grown up furniture that is a pain in the butt to move cause its so huge! But it does feel good to know we own some items of higher quality than ikea
