I agree in theory with whatever everyone else said, but I have this little nagging voice that says--"but she paid for you to eat" and "she wanted to share her day with you".
In the end, I am sure that I would have done exactly what you did (I'm assuming this is not a great or exceptionally close friend), and felt a little guilt. But then go on with my own anniversary.
So I'm glad you did the same! Hope you had a nice dinner.

Oh girl no! You shouldn't feel bad. You were there for the bestest part of the wedding. You shared in her day simply by showing up and you wished them well! Seeing your face and knowing you supported her was all she needed. I don't think you did anything wrong by leaving early with your husband to celebrate your own anniversary. You shouldn't even give it a second thought and I bet if you shared your concerns with your friend she would call you a sillybutt! xoxoxo
