The Office Suggestion Box

Gravatar you can't keep the same look very long, can you?

Gravatar I seriously can't believe that the fire alarm is located down so low, at the kids' level! That just seems insane to me! Anyway, it sounds like Julia learned from the incident and probably won't do it again. It's good that you talked with her!

Gravatar First, I love the new look. And second- I HAVE to ask---no dye on the hands when she pulled it??? They promised us dye when we were kids- remember that?

"If you pull the fire alarm, it will put dye on your hands and we will know who did it!"

Gravatar Okay, I have a great cake recipe that includes a good file! I'll send it to you when you need to break her out of the "slammer"! LOL

Gravatar I think it will take a room full of smoke and flames to get her to touch THAT thing again.....

Gravatar You have to look at it this way: she did something wrong, she got FREAKED OUT, and she learned her lesson. End of story.

I remember one time in Kindergarten, I got tired of getting "smilie faces" on my papers, so I thought "hmm..what if I did all these problems wrong and got a frowny face." So I did, and I got a frown, and well...eh. No biggie.

What I DIDN'T KNOW what that my teacher thought I had LOST MY MIND, called in my parents and counselors etc to analyze what I did. When they finally ASKED ME, I said that I just wanted to see what a frowny face looked like.

So you see...it IS just curiosity somtimes. After being a "good girl" all the time, I'm SURE she wanted to know what it was like to... do something....and NOW SHE KNOWS!!

I wouldn't fret about it. We live, we make mistakes, we learn.

And yeah..that's a REALLY DUMB place for a fire alarm!!

Hugs!

Gravatar Sounds like plain old curiousity to me and I doubt with all the hooplah she'll do it again. I bet it scared her too.

Gravatar Really I'm sure she was just curious as to what it was & what it did. I personally don't think it was wise to have it installed at their level & then have toys around it..... but that's just me.

Gravatar I wouldn't worry about it. My daughter, only 8 months old, is objessed with he color red.

Most fire alarm switches have a plastic protective cover that helps avoid situations like this.

At least she told the truth when asked, that's the important thing.

Great layout! Love it!

Gravatar Why, why, WHY would the fire alarm thing be at the kids' level??? If it's right next to the house-playing area, I'm surprised it hasn't been pulled before!

At all the daycares I've worked at, the fire alarm thing was out of reach on the wall of the small kids...the older ones, the 9-12 ones, could reach it, but they know better.

But poor thing, no wonder she had a meltdown! LOL
