The Office Suggestion Box

Gravatar I dread the day! Oh, I dread the day. Good luck and best wishes on your new adventure.

Gravatar I agree with Chrissa. No naps = earlier bed times for the first few months.

I made my son stop napping when he was 3 1/2 yrs...crazy? Not really, since he would nap for 3 hours and then be awake at 10pm.

I can offer little jewel that works for us. If Samantha is sleeping and I want some alone time, I let Alex play on the computer. He's quiet, she sleeps, and I get to read a book/magazine quietly.

Gravatar I may have to stop reading this blog in fear of killing myself before my child even turns 4 months old...You mean there will come a time before he goes to kindergarten that he will no longer nap? This can't be. There must be something that can be done!

Gravatar OMG? There's a such thing as a no nap kid? Why wasn't I informed? And when might this happen to me???

Gravatar oh, say it isn't so!! Isaac has been fighting his more and more--and only actually falling asleep maybe 4 times a week. But I can still convince him to stay in his room for a few hours. so far, anyway. Without the nap, I will absolutely lose my mind.

Gravatar She's 4 and just giving up her nap??? I'd count myself lucky if I were you! My kids stopped napping at TWO! My middle child was probably the best napper and he gave them up at 2 and a half. My youngest, the newly minted 4-year old (in June) hasn't napped in I can't even tell you how long.... at least they go to bed at 8!

Gravatar Oh I just went through that too! HUGS AND MORE HUGS!

Gravatar Don't say it! I'm trying to avoid this at my house. Take cover, if K-bugg decides nap time is over!

Gravatar I was scared of no nap at first, too. It ended up being a good thing! It did take some adjusting for the kids and for me, but it's so nice being free to do whatever and not having to worry about a nap. I think the best part was that they would go to bed at about 7 for the first 6 months!! Good luck!!

Gravatar Oh god, I remember that time well, and now I have to do it again, twice. Poor us.

Gravatar I remember when my kids gave up naps.

You have my deepest sympathies.

Gravatar I don't want to join that club for at least one more year!!
