I love the suggestion from the pp. I will have to remember that when my own Girlie Girlie decides that nap time will be no longer.
As for the cycle of whining....I think that's something normal really. It happens in our house sometimes. Might I suggest earplugs since that's something that I have considered myself.

Here is a suggestion if you are looking for some "Mom" time (to do laundry, bills, read your People magazine, etc.)...Instead of "Nap Time," tell her she has to lay down for "Rest Time." I do this with Kellynn when she refuses to take a nap. She agrees to "Rest Time," because she is allowed to watch one of her favorite movies in its entirety. The only rule is that she has to REST - no playing is allowed until her movie is over. This usually helps me out when I have something I need to do.
