No real advice as I am just enterint the Teething Zone.
The gel never did anything for me- the excessive drool just washed it away! My pediatrician suggested I just use Tylenol and teething rings from the fridge. He also said a plain frozen bagel would do the trick, but that always made me nervous.
If she's a binky baby, throw a handful of those suckers in the freezer and rotate them when they get nice and warm. Other than that, pray! LittleBit is almost a year and NO sign of teeth. Meanwhile, DramaChild is cutting her two year molars. I think God just wanted to spare me from having TWO teething at once!
My son was a chewer. We took a damp washcloth and put it in the freezer for a bit. When it was just a little stiff, we'd give it back to him and he would carry it around for hours chewing on it. Crazy, but it worked for him 
Infants Tylenol and Motrin saved my ass.

Frozen bagels and frozen bananas. Messy, but they love it because it feels so good.
Only feed the bananas to a naked baby. Banana stains are permanent. Good luck!
Remember that teething is painful for the little ones, so using the gel is great. You can also give baby motrine as well to help. It also, will help her be more comfortable at night so she will sleep better.
I used all natural teething tablets for my Son. My daughter started getting teeth at three and a half mounths and never felt one.
My son had a hard time.
