This War and Me

Gravatar Cindy Shehan lost a child too.. The Bush Administration is reponsible for the American Deaths in IRAQ, not , Al Franken, Cindy Shehan or CNN or whoever. Point the finger where it belongs, at the White House. Not at media , not at people who oppose the war, not at the soldiers either.
WAKE UP AMERICA

Gravatar I lost my nephew Corporal Jeremiah Wayne Robinson 10-6-2005 in Baghdad, Iraq, He felt the same way and wished that the news reporters where over there reporting instead of sitting in a news room some where. He believed in what He fought for and saw the good it was doing. My Gratitude and Condolences to the family of SGT. Edmund John Jeffers maybe there sharing stories in heaven.
Sincerly Lauri Klick

Gravatar You took the words right out of my SOUL! Amen.

Gravatar Hope is alive, hold it close. Only share it with others that believe the same. I just spent 110 hours in 10 days, asking for donations for a support organization in a mall in northern california. Even in Calif. we
(4 main people) raised over 10,000 dollars for Family Services. An even greater opportunity was showing my support to vets, active and family members how much doing this meant to me. The best was showing the naysayers my strength and belief in our mission and military.
Lead by example, be strong, thank you.

Gravatar I had read of Sgt Jeffers a few months ago but his writing is so profound that I am so glad to see it being kept in the forefront of peoples thoughts. Thank you so much for posting this.

Gravatar I receieved an email of Sgt Jeffers' writing via email this morning. This has really hit home with me. My boyfriend is a Marine Sgt. who is currently stationed in Ramadi as well. There is not a day that goes by that I dont worry about his safety and that of his brothers, as well as fret over what will happen when these soldiers return. I too fear what Sgt. Jeffers did in that our soldiers, our heros, are not made to feel as though their service was in vain. The thought he shared on thinking our enemy has now become Americans rather than the Islamic extremist is shared by myself as well. Although I did not know Sgt Jeffers, the mere fact that he was a soldier serving his country makes him a hero to me. May he rest in peace knowing that he did not die in vain, nor will his voice go unheard. This post has touched us all. God Bless. Semper Fi.

Gravatar Excellent post. Blogged and link from Al Salibiyyah.

Gravatar I received a copy of Sgt Jeffer's writing just this evening(Nov 8 07) It seems more than coincidental that I also attending just this evening a tribute to veterans at one our(Scottsboro Al)schools. It was about veterans, our country, our constitution, it was about patriotic music and patriotism. The school board, the school administration, and the stundents should be commended on a national level. Whats the point of this? Sgt. Jeffers, If you can hear this, be comforted be in the fact that in spite of Cindy Sheehan and Harry Reid, there is hope and we will prevail. The loss of you was not in vain. My prayers for the family. V. Middleton(ex-82nd Airborne)
