Can I file a request to have the "Erin Andrews effect" renamed to the "Engineering Chick effect"? It basically describes my 4 years in the college of engineering. It's sort of like sitting in controls and you've long tuned out the foreign professor and the thick, deeply annoying accent and start looking around. And then you feel worse because it turns out that paying attention was actually your best option. So I guess the Erin Andrews effect isn't nearly as bad as the Engineering Girl effect, but it's the best analogy to describe to the non-engineers here (all 4 of them) what college was like for the rest of us.

The '95 Pigskin classic was my first freshman year. The game wasn't included in the student tickets, but my aunt and uncle have been ticket holders since they graduated, so I went.
For three quarters, it was the worst game I had ever been to. The last 18 points = words cannot describe.

I am disappointed. Rats are cooking in Paris, playing humans like marionettes and there is not even an off handed reference to it on your blog.
*Sigh* I want a refund :-P

Tony Toni Tone` has enough songs to qualify for a "best of" collection? That may be the "Jewish American Sports Heroes" of CDs.
It Feels Good
If I Had No Loot
House Party (I Don't Know What You Come To Do)
I hate myself for knowing those songs.

Ryan Williams- shredded his knee and really hasn't been the same man. Like going to Nam or Iraq as Ghandi and coming back with that 28 days later virus infection. Got real homesick and saw all the talent being stockpiled at DE
Dublin- "Scooter" allegedly got pardoned...I kid, Scoot had some homesickness allegedly and I heard his head was not into school either.
Underwood--Their dad is sort of like Joe Jackson and his two sons would be the Jackson 5. Two very talented guys who should of left OSU as all-americans. I believe this Underwood got suspended for poor academic performance for all of last season..
Garnier--pissed he didn't get a scholarship and rolled out to Umass after transferring in from Auburn. No biggie...

Don't want to get too excited about the Matrix, but after watching that video, it's hard not to. Yes, I know it's high school kids, but even mediocre athletes should be able to get him when they HAVE THE ANGLE, and he consistently runs around them. C'mon Sammy !!!

Another TTT song would be "It's Our Anniversary."
Maybe the CD is 4 songs long with like 13 "wicka wicka reeeemix" versions of the originals.

Matt K...try the "Military Academies Effect" to put any Engineering Effect to shame. 10% women total with maybe .01% even in the almost hot category and no LS&A or diag nearby = steep competition for Fugly chicks.

The ESPNU-AA link on Mgolicious sounds like a propaganda written by one of Stalin's speechwriters: "I'm going to Disney World".

After watching the McGuffie tape for the 50th time it hit me that if he went to the NFL Chris Berman would be having a field day with this kid. I mean every time he touches the ball he does at least 3 WOOPS!

Re: Underwood's dad.
I got an e-mail from him ripping me for saying that elder son EJ had been
"burned" (or "toasted" or something similar) in some article about a spring game or something at some point. I pointed out to him that I had said or written no such thing and got back something re-affirming the fact that whatever had happened wasn't his kid's fault. A little odd...
The fact that both of the brothers Underwood saw their careers end prematurely at OSU lends some credence to the "something weird with the family" theories.

You know, I cannot recall ever seeing acceleration on a back like on that McGuffie youtube. That is stunning really.

i wonder how mcguffie could hold up as a full-time running back. he's obviously quite fast, but his size could be a question as he is going up against guys who hit harder in college than they do high school, not to mention the NFL. but, i think that if we do get him, we'd use him as a kick returner at first if he doesn't win the starting RB job?
