Love the Ghostbusters reference. And I pretty much agree with Bruce... let's wait and see what happens when Miami and FSU play a few more people before we annoint them the best defenses in the history of college football. After watching that game I felt so funky.

Didn't Miami rush for twice as many yards as FSU and still lose the game? How do you rush for double the yards of your opponent and lose?!???
Oh, wait, that's because it was 2 yards to 1. What a waste of 3 hours watching that game. Un-anesthetized eye surgery would have been more appealing.

Anyway, you can read my response to the "Mr. Stubborn" thing here. I will just point out the fact I was never a Cal believer so that game didn't affect my poll. Nor did the FSU-Miami game really. My Top 20 teams are all undefeated and there will be plenty of shake-ups before the calendar flips to October.

I don't care what you guys say. I caught hell last year for ranking Bama high, and they finished No. 8. This team is better than last year's. I refuse to drink the Kool-Aid on Ohio State and Notre Dame y'all seem so much to fancy.
Not only did I hate that game, but it got to the point where I would have watched "Dancing With The Stars" instead...had it actually been on.
And my wife can vouch for you how much I truly despise that program.
I'll be interested to see how voters treat ND and PSU next week if those teams play a game like that just turned in by ND and Georgia Tech. Will it mean that the ND defense is legit? That Morelli and the PSU offense are bad? Right now, I don't have PSU ranked because of all the personnel turnover and the run-game struggles against Akron. I have ND around 10, but that's mostly because I liked what I saw from McKnight and am assuming that the offense will start to put up some numbers. If, though, ND looks average, again, then it is dropping, because I won't really have much reason to think it is something other than Virginia Tech.
Let's not throw the hogs under the bus (or throw them out of the pen) just yet.
For all the whining that Arkansas shouldn't be rated, why on earth is Cal rated? Just curious.
I mean, at least Arkansas got its butts handed to him by a team that generally hands butts to other teams lately.
OK, no mention for having Tennessee at 16 when everyone else is irrationally exuberant about the Cal win? That's wack.
