That's a good point about Pittsburgh. I did my ballot way too fast this morning. I actually had Pitt in there (even printed a first copy from the 'submit' page with them at like 22) and decided the UVA win had lost pretty much all of its luster. Pitt also had a long BS touchdown that should have been called back for obvious offensive interference, which may have inflated the score over Cincinnati. They're probably No. 26, unless it's Virginia Tech. Or Georgia Tech. Or Iowa. None of these teams have distinguished themselves from one another.

Really proud of the poll voters for exercising some sense and moving FSU down.
Kind of surprised that VaTech is ahead of Miami. The whole ACC "elite" is sort of effed up right now, but I don't see a win over Northeastern and a sloppy win fueled by the incomparably bizarre Joe Dailey being more impressive than a near loss to FSU and an as-it-should-have-been beatdown.
Oh, and as for my ballot: I *never* seek to win my eponymous award. I always seek to accurately assess every team, and I am not nearly as familiar with other squads as I am with Michigan. With the questions in pass protection, the not-so-impressive opening two opponents, the limited passing game, and a coaching staff with a demonstrated predilection toward the conservative in games against strong opponents, UM seems like a middling team so far. The running game has been great and the defensive line looks good, but again, consider the competition.
If Michigan wins this weekend, on the road against a team that I have in the top ten, I will almost surely move it up to a poll position similar to that at which it currently rests. It will have answered a lot of questions.
