Hey, if the ballots from Badger Sports wind up looking weird this next week, you're going to have to declare a "Ms. Manic-Depressive." Is Nicole going to be the first female Blogpoll voter? OMG TOKENISM!!!!

Brian if you screw us on this, does that make you the exact opposite of Charles Woodson? Cato June II. You've been flirting with it for a while, but now you're really putting your powers of making your own team suck to the test here.

Awwwww... come on now. I did predict victory over ND, and the team responded by exceeding even my wildest dreams.

Whoops - responded to the wrong thread. Here goes again:
Allright, here's my attempt to justify my Mr. Boldness:
1.) Oregon #3. Three wins against fairly quality opponents. Okay, the OU-OU game was a travesty of officiating, but, like I've said before, it's not my job to retroactively correct bad officiating calls, otherwise I'd have my hands full with several decades of Notre Dame games.
Stupid call or not, they hung up 34 points on Oklahoma, who everyone (and, of course Phil Steele) said had the OMG greatest defense ever.
2.) Mid-major love. What can I say, I'm a sucker for blue turf and scrappy underdogs. You'll see them come to earth as they rack up unimpressive wins.
If you think Texas at 16 is bad, wait till you see what happens to them next week after they play Sam Houston State. This might be a good team, but really we won't know until the Red River Shootout. Currently, they've beaten Rice, North Texas, Iowa State, and been outclassed by OSU. I can name 50 teams who would have the same record and outcomes against that schedule.
3.) Same thing with WVU. Their Sugar Bowl win was solid, but it was last year. Other than that, they have beaten absolutely nobody this year. Wake Forest would be 4-0 against that schedule.
Hopefully that clarifies everything. I guess now I have to pull a Frank McGrath and say something contentious and start an enormous fight to live up to Mr. Bold, right? So, here goes. Fuck you Michigan fans, I've forgotten more about football than you've ever learned.

You actually counted the BGS ballot this week? No one can say you're not magnanimous in victory, Brian.

If all of the Georgia bloggers are convinced that their team isn't as good as everyone says they are, maybe the blogpollers should adjust to that?

After investigation: State Fans Nation voted them number one, no doubt in a hilarious mixup with Ohio State.

What's up with the state of Georgia? They swept the CK and Manic Depressive awards and almost pulled off the Gold, Silver, Bronze sweep of the SB. They also got an honorable mention in Mr. Stubborn. Someone get Dr. Phil down there ASAP! Either they need some meds or there are just too many Georgia/GA Tech bloggers in the poll.

That's funny. Being the easily swayed voter I am, I'll have to take a look at them for next week.

GA Tech at #15 isn't as wacky as PSU at #20 (I'm looking in the direction of Falcon Nation and 614). I have them one spot behind Notre Dame, who they almost beat, and they have rolled over their other competition. We'll see how they do against Virginia Tech this week. I don't think I'll have them at #15 next week.

Should we be at all worried that the largest variance between blogpoll and the average of the AP and coaches poll in the top 15 is just two spots? You have to go all the way to #18 to find a team that is ranked significantly differently than the coaches/writers.
Anything remotely interesting (or uninteresting) about this? Criminey.

Sorry. Should have also noted that #18 Texas Tech and #21 Florida State are the only two teams in the blogpoll top 25 that are ranked more than two spots different than the average of the AP/coaches' poll.

And that only three teams, #4 Michigan, #6 West Virginia and #25 Missouri are even as much as two spots different. In fact, nine teams are ranked at exactly the AP/coaches' average.
Three teams are 1.5 spots different, and eight are ony one spot or 0.5 spots different.

Seemed like that would be the likely cause. So what this boils down to is BGSU will likely play the #1 team in the nation two straight weeks in some corner of Raleigh? Cool.
(*-#1 team unless Drew Tate comes out in super psycho "I thought you said we were playing IOWA State" mode and helps the nation out a lil' bit, of course.)
