You know what might be nice in the Blogpoll table? The teams' W-L records. Just a thought.

BT: It would be nice, but it would also be quite a lot of work. I hope to add a few bells and whistles before the end of the year, including an "AP" column.

Let's go back to the Top 20.
The Top 25 doesn't work for me and Top 20 sounds better. Maybe the blogging community could lead the charge to get AP and ESPN/Coaches to go back to Top 20. No one at the #s 21-25 schools cares or even mentions "we're #22 this week!".
Dump the Top 25 - it's time to return to the Top 20.

I might start a blog just to gain entry to the Blog Poll, rank West Virginia no. 20, and point out that Boise State has a more impressive resume than do the Mountaineers. I get unnaturally enraged when a fraud team surfs its schedule into the national title conversation. I'm still pissed about Virginia Tech in '99.

Anyone still wasting votes on Florida State needs to have their ballot revoked. The Criminoles have lost 6 out of their last 10 games. They suck.

This probably doesn't say anything good about me, but every team I see the abbreviation "NSFMF!" what I read is, "Not so fast, motherfucker!" I would pay Lee Corso good money to say that on TV, and then I would record it and use it as the ringtone on my cellular phone.

Brian: that's what I figured (about the toughness). Looking forward to the fun surprises.
withnail: ever since I've sat down and thought about the polls, I've figured that the best system would be to keep the top 25, but only have voters select their top 20 list. That way, one is less likely to feel obligated to include a team or teams he simply doesn't want to rank, and the top 5 "also receiving votes" teams get some public props. Just food for thought.

Interesting to see that Notre Dame finally makes it into the "Consistency" Award (i.e. Lowest Standard Deviation). At least now nearly EVERYONE agrees that ND should be 9, 10, or 11 (take your pick).
Now all they have to do is win out and excercise the demons of the Skunkbear loss. And win a bowl game.
Boy, I can't wait to see 8 of those 9 scholarship seniors sit the bench next year as the rest of the team consists of freshman and sophomores!

Wow, getting called out two weeks in a row....that is definately a first for me.
As I did last week, I'll defend my position....it was late last night when I was putting together my ballot and I completely forgot that LSU already had a loss (to Auburn).
There are definately several other 1-loss teams that should be ahead of them.
If I could correct my ballot I would put them at #11 (behind Louisville and ahead of ND).
Man the SEC is rough, isn't it?
