Brian, it is official - recruiting season is a DISASTER from the DB standpoint. Our offense looks to be stacked for at least the next 3 years (Henne followed by the next coming at QB, Hart followed by take your pick and young WRs), but our defense is going to be pathetic. Our front D line is going to be young, which means no pressure on opposing QBs, which means plenty of time for receivers to get down field and burn Trent et al. We REALLY needed ROJO or Finch.
What do you think about some of our offensive "athletes" switching to CB? I think someone mentioned yesterday that Brown was like crazy fast. Perhaps he wouldn't mind the switch to get the playing time that he will otherwise not get behind Hart next year.
I think that nobody should talk about RoJo the rest of the day. This whole thing sucks, all the accusations are totally unproven, and the only thing that's for sure is that none of it is helping. Plus the fact that we're all sitting around obsessing over an 18 year old is super creepy. Let's just sit the next 24 hours out. What do you say?
I'm sure this has nothing to do with our 2-10 record in big games in the past 6 years. Nope, the kids we recruit would never notice that, never think twice about some of the embarrassments the program has suffered. Couldn't be that, must be something else.

Personally I think we ought to just forfeit all our games next season. It's obvious we can't win without RoJo so what's the point of playing, especially with the dogshit offense we're going to have next year.
Come on Proctor, we're loaded on offense every year. Unless Debord decommits and goes to Florida, too, we will not win shoot-outs. It's not in our nature.

Do you see who we have for our CB's next year. We have Trent as the #1 and then? WOW, like people who got beat by F'ING BALL STATE. Seriously Tressel and any decent coach will just throw on us all day ala how most people play madden and ncaa football
Trent is terrible and was all year. Please look for openings on the track team.
We need DB's that can play some next year. I don't know how these guys can turn down the opportunity to beat EMU and play as a Freshmen on the #2 team in the country next year.

Sure they've noticed we've at least MADE IT to big bowl games. big bowl games = big time exposure....Indiana, MSU? Yea we lose, but damn, at least we get there!
It has nothing to do with the performance in big games. Kids think they are the answer for any lack of performance in big games.
Everyone realizes that all this hype and concern about Rojo will be irrelevant when he turns out to be vastly overrated and gets burned more than Todd Howard, err...I mean toast, while playing for the Florida Buckeyes.
Then again, he could be the next Charles Woodson, although the cycle on those types is about every 25 years.
It's a crapshoot with these kids, and I'm not sure it's worth getting worked up over until any of them actually perform on a college field. See Ron Powlus (how many Heisman's was that Beano? 3?). In the alternative, see Braylon Edwards.
I think it's laughable all this hand-wringing about "secret sources" and "secret commits" and the blogosphere hurting things. I got a real simple solution: make up your goddamn mind already. I know DeBord sucks and I know Trent as #1 is scary, but for Christ's sake, people are acting like we just became Temple by virtue of losing RoJo. We've lost out on big time recruits before and life went on. And guess what? I'm pretty sure Sears and the other CBs will get better over time. College kids tend to be funny like that. Everyone just needs to friggin relax.
