Nice suit.

If I was TP I'd be pissed at that gift. Corvettes suck.

not photoshopped, look at his reflection in the paint

Gravatar Jesus, is this really for real? For real real? There really is a real scandal here?

Schadenfreude is the word of the day, friends.

Gravatar Here comes the accusations from america and tOSU fans defenses. He only borrowed it...between 6 am and 4 am every day.

Gravatar That's a pretty nice car for a QB that can't throw (zing!)

Gravatar Am I first?

Gravatar damn, guess not

Gravatar first

Gravatar blow me, i was first!!!!!

Gravatar What uber-recruit in their right mind would get that picture taken. After the Lebron retro jersey/Hummer incident you'd think every recruit in the world would be smart enough to not leave these kind of bread crumbs out there.

Gravatar Corvettes are only cool if you have a sex mustache, a cheap gold around your neck, and a collared shirt open down to the belly button to match. And some cassette of '70s porn music playing on the car stereo. Only then are Corvettes cool.

As far as I know, TP doesn't roll that way, so yes, he should have gotten something else- Porsche, Maserati? Suggestions?

Gravatar I don't want our football team to end up where our basketball team is and I am begining to think that we should withdraw our offer to him.

Gravatar Re: Authenticity of the reflection--

As if it's impossible to get some nail polish, apply it to someone else's toe. I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, dude. You don't want to know about it.

Gravatar No, no... it's OK. That car he's borrowing; I'm giving it to him when he graduates and enrolls at tO$U. -Big Daddy Sarniak

Gravatar I do agree with the "why a corvette" argument. I mean if this glass guy is the richest man in Jeanette, that town is nothing special. Why TP can't get an Escalade or something not a corvette is beyond me.

Gravatar The Vette is not in itself a problem. It's how he obtained it that should be looked into. Kids were driving their own $40G BMW's to school where I used to teach.

Again, I want some real evidence. Brian is looking like a prick thus far.

Gravatar Give me an hour and I'll get you a toe.

JeremyB is declared the winner

Gravatar Great outfit, great shoes, BIG hands. Is the Dana Jacobson thing old news?

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/ new...RTICLE_ID=59822

Wonder if she's busy on 9/12 for a quick pep talk...

Gravatar Just for the spectacle, I want a huge scandal to erupt at a major (non-Michigan) NCAA football program. There have been so many teases in the last several years, but nothing ever really comes of it. I expect this to die a quiet death everywhere other than on Michigan message boards, where posters will dredge it up years from now as we search for comfort following a beating from Pryor.

There are other quarterbacks out there without this kind of stink on them. You mentioned that Rodriguez was chasing a couple of three- and four-star-type kids last week. What's the story on them?

One final note: Either this is all a misunderstanding or this kid is a scrambling NCAA violation in the making. I have great hopes for the Rodriguez era, but, if I'm to put my faith in your suspicions, it kind of makes me nervous that Rodriguez is chasing this kid so hard.

Gravatar Can Sarniac give the 'Vette to Pryor's Mom or Dad, and be within NCAA rules? Isn't that how Lebron got the Hummer?

Gravatar How does Brian look like a prick? He didn't start the accusations and yesterday said that the story was sketchy at best. Now that there's a photo of the him and the car, Brian's the prick?

Gravatar Lebron got the Hummer when he declared he would go straight to the NBA and his mom got a loan from a bank based on his future earnings. Parents are allowed to do that but it can't be given to the parents.

Gravatar Dana Jacobson... I'd hit that.

Gravatar IMO, he's looking like a prick by pushing a story with no actual evidence. Yeah, it's OSU, but we're acting like WVU fans over this.

Gravatar If he signed with us, why would there be a recruiting violation? We haven't given him any 'vettes. Or is the argument that he has shown he's not above taking gifts of bad sportscars, so he might do it again while at Mich?

Gravatar @ColsWolverine

Pay no attention to Catholic League president Bill Donohue. He's a whiny little bastard that has a vested interest in tempesting teapots. I'll be shocked & disappointed if ESPN kowtows to him by doing anything serious to Jacobson.

Gravatar He's the richest man in Jeannette, PA, not New York City. A Corvette fits the bill perfectly.

Gravatar The Vette is not in itself a problem.

TennBlue, I respectfully disagree. Regardless of any potential recruiting impropriety, that car is ugly.

Gravatar What kind of evidence would Brian need, TennBlue? Yesterday he reported an already widely reported rumor that Pryor had a new Vette from a suspicious character with possible/probable ties to OSU. Today he put up a picture of that Vette. That's not enough evidence to at least raise the inference that this story has legs?

Gravatar Shit.

Gravatar Does this really help us with Pryor.....we know what OSU does, no sense making the kid out to be the bad guy...now he should not let himself be taken advantage of with stuff like this from boosters.

Gravatar Corvettes are only cool if you have a sex mustache, a cheap gold around your neck, and a collared shirt open down to the belly button to match.

You had me at "sex mustache."

Gravatar TennBlue,

A picture is pretty good evidence. I agree that there may not be a story there but Brian doesn't throw out any of his own accusations.

ThirdCurry,

We wouldn't be in trouble but TP could be ruled ineligible if he took gifts from non-UM boosters.

Gravatar Jesus, Lichtenfels, learn to write!

"TP borrowed it for prom or homecoming and will give it to him as a graduation present."

Makes it sound like Pryor is giving Sarniac the Vette as a present.

Gravatar As I posted earlier, the Vette by itself means nothing. It's perfectly legal for a high school kid to own a Vette. Shows a lack of taste, perhaps, but nothing more.

I want some actual evidence that there really is something going on here. Otherwise this is suspiciously like "Rich Rodriguez eats babies!"

Gravatar That guy in the picture kindof looks like G. Oden. Two for one???

Gravatar As I posted earlier, the Vette by itself means nothing. It's perfectly legal for a high school kid to own a Vette.

Doesn't the Lichtenfeld quote indicate that TP doesn't own the Vette, and that it in fact belongs to Sarniak?

Gravatar @dumbfounded

Sure, Jeannette PA ain't New York City, but a Vette is still serious cash. I think for the same amount of money the guy could have gotten a Porsche 911, but I say that without knowing the specific prices of any of these cars. Does anyone care to do a comparison of prices, and what TP could've gotten for the same/similar money?

(Please note, I still consider this to be a rumor, and nothing more. I'm just wondering what the best sportscar could have been obtained for Corvette money.)

Gravatar @Gnarls

You wanted us to hire The Wannstache, didn't you?

Gravatar But Rich Rod does eat babies...

Gravatar Carr killed kittens...is that sooo much better than RR?

Gravatar Thing about Corvettes is, they've got primo legroom. A 6'6" dude who wants to tool around in a sporty car might gravitate toward one for the sake of comfort.

Gravatar Vette, it looks like Vest. any more proof necessary?

Gravatar So what are the actual implications of this? Is TP allowed to take a gift like this from a random buisnessman in Jeanette if he has no associations with any schools? TP's not an NCAA athelete yet...I played high school sports and was given gifts from friends, and that didn't disqualify me...what exactly is the rule?

Further, even if TP violated some kind of rule, it seems like it will be difficult to link it to OSU. Even if they are buddy buddy with Sarniak, I don't understand where the evidence of violations from them would come from. I expect this will blow over.

I think Brian is doing well to report this, but I agree that we shouldn't be jumping to any conclusions, lest we even slightly resemble our coaching farm system in West Virginia.

Gravatar TennBlue, it sounds like you want direct evidence of an NCAA violation. That's not going to happen, and certainly isn't likely to be available to bloggers and message-board participants. But photos, suspiciously reworded articles, and the background information we have about this guy is pretty strong circumstantial evidence that something is amiss.

Gravatar Can I get this photo on a tshirt? I guess I should at least wait until signing day.

Gravatar FYI, that is an "old" corvette. I am a car freak. Notice how the headlamps on the C5 flip up, the C6 (current gen) don't flip up. You can pick up a used corvette pretty cheap. Hell, I think a new one is only 50-60k... only.

Gravatar OSU coaches meeting w/ a guy who might give Pryor a car just doesn't equal violation.

Homer: Uh-huh. How does it work?

Lisa: It doesn't - it's just a stupid rock! But you don't see any tigers, do you?

Homer: Lisa, I'd like to buy your rock...

Gravatar In terms of actual performance and engineering for the dollar, you can't really beat a Vette. Much cheaper than any Porsche other than a Boxster, which is basically a cooler looking Miata, IMO. Now, if he could've asked Sarniak to pony up for a Carrera 4, he has no taste and does not belong with the Leaders and Best.

Gravatar It's not illegal for a kid to borrow a Vette, either.

When I was in High School, a guy flew his prom date down to Ann Arbor for dinner, then flew back to Midland and drove up to the prom in a stretch limo and a similar white tux.

The only difference between that and what I see here is that that guy was a nerd who didn't play football.

I'm not saying it's impossible anything untoward is going on. My fear is that we are going to look like idiots if a reasonable explanation for all this appears.

Gravatar I hope all you folks who came aboard for Michigan football in the past decade or more recently and want U-M to be just like the O$U's, USC's and Miami's are happy. You got your hot coach (who calls recruits before he tells players he's already recruited of his job plans and can't turn in his resignation face to face), you're getting your luxury suites (not than anyone here is ever going to sit in them), and your hot deal coach might be able to outbid O$U for this season's hot recruit. Me, all I can do is watch those Ufer videos of on MZone, remember how it used to be before Michigan Stadium became the Big House and realize that entropy dictates that nothing good lasts forever, or even very long anymore. Too bad you young guys weren't there in the Bo years and have no sense of what we've lost -- I mean, what we've thrown away -- with this Rodriguez move. You might get your pretend national championship, you'll probably see your team in the hunt a little more regularly, but you'll never realize at what cost it will come.

Gravatar look, the question is, is sarniac acting as a rep for osu? is he a booster or a register donor or an alum? if not, i'm not sure this story has legs.

Gravatar Nice marmot.

Gravatar 1st, just to clarify it is Barwis who eats babies and/or all warm blooded mammals under 4ft tall.

2nd, Brian is NOT a prick for showing this picture. So many people yesterday were accusing other M fans of being whiny. Again, this is how these typs of stories begin; with an accusation, and then a bit piece of evidence, and then more. Now, we still can't say if anything illegal here however it shouldn't be ruled out. There could definitely be something going on with tOSU boosters.

Gravatar the hate fest in here is uncalled for...

vettes have long been, AMERICAS sports car...

im so dissapointed in all the hate in here...

you guys would HATE my car, if you think vettes are trashy

Gravatar Old 98: The hell? Rodriguez doesn't have anything to do with these allegations. There's nothing to suggest that he's acted unethically with respect to Pryor (or any other recruits), apart from the phone call (which, as Brian pointed out, is a gray area at worst). Don't paint him with a broad brush.

Gravatar @big gay heart,

agreed with the closing remark in the last thread. then again I'm an NL team fan, so everyone thinks were the minor leagues anyways. The competition is slowly leveling, but most of the talent going into college is in the south already, or going straight into the draft. Either way, the last 2 OSU series @ the fish were awful. I found myself huddling over the dugout to feel the space heaters. Stupid freezing rain.

Gravatar TennBlue,

The NCAA does not care about the nerd they care about student-athletes and while they're in HS things like this are prohibited. Remember all of the accusations about Corey Maggette and his AAU team and players being paid. The NCAA went after them from stuff they did in HS.

Gravatar That isn't even a recent model corvette, it's like a '99. The newer models dopn't have the pop up head lights.

Gravatar I am personally aghast that anyone on the internets would post such a story without a sworn confession from Sarniak and Tressel. We must never suggest potential cheating by OSU, lest we look like WVU, because only freak rednecks from West Virginia ever point out thay anyone else might be doing something wrong. Dammit, people - THIS BLOG IS LOSING ITS CREDIBILITY AS A TRUSTED NEWS SOURCE!

Gravatar TennBlue,

Just to clarify, I'm not saying I think he did anything. My argument is that IF he did, it's a violation.

Gravatar When I was in High School, a guy flew his prom date down to Ann Arbor for dinner, then flew back to Midland and drove up to the prom in a stretch limo and a similar white tux.

The only difference between that and what I see here is that that guy was a nerd who didn't play football.

Well sure. That's a pretty big difference though. When I attended UM, it wouldn't have been wrong for me to take $1000/hour from a booster to mow his lawn. Had Charles Woodson done it, it would have been a problem. The only difference is that I was a nerd who didn't play football. I'm not saying that there's a violation here, but the fact that he's a big-time college recruit is a relevant consideration.

Now, if he could've asked Sarniak to pony up for a Carrera 4, he has no taste and does not belong with the Leaders and Best.

As an Ann Arbor-led liberal, I'll be disappointed if TP asks for anything other than a Prius.

Gravatar gsimmons85:

If you drive a Trans Am with a hood scoop and flames, I will personally drive over to North Carolina and set fire to it.

Gravatar wow, the laws of thermodynamics applied to michigan football? qed, indeed.

Gravatar I don't think Brian is speaking to OSU's recruiting practices as much as, rightfully, calling into question Pryor's eligibility. The fact is that it appears as though Pryor might have received payment for being an athlete, which means he's not an amateur athlete, which means he's trouble for any school he attends if and when all this comes down.

Hell, for all we know, Tressel is yanking his offer to Pryor as we speak.

Gravatar So is it a NCAA violation if Batch is offering TP advice? I know several consultants that charge over $100 an hour.

Gravatar "Hell, for all we know, Tressel is yanking his offer to Pryor as we speak."

Heh. Good one.

Gravatar gsimmons, I'm with you. I would actually feel like much less of a douche driving a Vette around than a Maserati or something.

Don't tease us with the allusion, by the way - what the hell are you driving? An IROC-Z?

Gravatar @Johnny Sideburns

But if legroom was the issue, why not spring for an Escalade or a Hummer?

I guess if you were looking for a sportscar with legroom, a Vette might be a candidate. But what about an Acura NSX or a Boxster or something like that? I think those have legroom.

Maybe my bias against Vettes is showing. Colin Cowherd once had people call in on the road who saw Vettes on the highway- pretty much every f--king one of the Vette drivers wore a sex mustache. It was incredible.

Corvettes are horrible, shitty excuses for sportscars, IMO. I now await flames for this comment...

Gravatar Old98,

One of the problems with our fball program is that we have failed to adapt to the modern cfb football era. And that doesn't mean that RR has to be scandalous now. I love our program and its history but so many UofM fans get caught up in the good old days and want Bo back. Listen, that is in the past! We were the most stubborn program in the country and finally we have taken steps to go forward.

Gravatar tennblue...

2002 trans am ws6 silver no flames... last year of production

ive already invited you down. now you have to ride in it if you come down...

i do all my own work on it...

Gravatar all i know is i got a ford focus and im looking to reace for pinks.

Gravatar TennBlue:

You have no idea what you are talking about. If your Midland friend was a star running back being recruited by Michigan, and Steven Ross gave him a plane ticket to NYC and a free dinner at a steakhouse, there most certainly would be a problem there. The question is not how he got the gift, or in this case from whom he "borrowed" the car, the question is what are Sarniak's connections to tOSU.

That question hasn't been answered, BUT we have a glimpse of it as tOSU coaches ate dinner with him when in town.

Gravatar pics up on my facebook account...

and me for that matter, notice the hot wife...

lol

Gravatar Well, I take back the "prick"; it's a bit strong. IMO, Brian looks like a whiny muckraker by posting twice on this story.

The story is out there. The people to whom it matters know about it. There is nothing to be gained (that I can see) by continuing to stir this pot.

Thus I would prefer Brian had left this alone.

That's a bit more rational of a response.

Gravatar pretty much every f--king one of the Vette drivers wore a sex mustache

God, cfaller, I laugh out loud everytime you write "sex mustache." Can you please explain the difference between a "sex mustache" and regular mustache? I want to make sure I don't screw it up when I grow mine.

Gravatar it's clear that he's being bribed. the issue is whether it's an infraction andmost likel we will never know. is sarniak an official osu booster? if so, the story will have more legs, if not, good luck fishing.

by the way, who wants a kid that knows he can get a bribe, is willing to take a bribe, and only gets a vette!!! starting to look like he's a potential cheater with bad taste. starting to look like he belongs at osu.

Gravatar 5 out of 8 people who drive Acura NSXs wear piano key neckties.

True story.

BTW, have they made the NSX since the mid-90s? I'm picturing a model that looked like a cheap Testarossa ... have they updated it since?

Gravatar TennBlue - Brians' job is to post these types of stories and anything relevant to michigan football. You realize that?

Gravatar It's an older model Corvette, so I'm guessing he borrowed it or might own it. Is that even Terrelle Pryor? He's kind of far away. I don't know what to make of it. Where is that picture from?

Freaking out only makes Michigan fans look bad. But cheating makes OSU look worse.

Gravatar I guess we differ on what is "relevant".

Gravatar The freakin' morons who brake late while driving Corvettes are the actual horrible beings on earth. F*(*& you.

Story is gaining steam. Pryor should just say eff-it to Tress and come to the good guys.

Gravatar That is not his car. Why would the passenger side door be wide open instead of the drivers side. Borrow yes, his no. I can see him getting out of the car to take a picture in the driver side but not to be in the drivers seat?...dont add up.

Gravatar Having a sex mustache means you only go for golddiggers that wear Depends.

Having a regular mustache means you expose yourself to children.

Gravatar this anti-vetteism is getting out of control....

there is only so much i can take...

Gravatar I would stay away from Pryor with a ten foot pole.

How did Woodson ever make it out of Ohio?

P.S. Posts like this is the exact reason i read this blog. Thanks Brian!! keep of the good work!

Gravatar The #1 recruit in the country we are trying very hard to get may possibly be getting bribed... by our biggest rival. That seems relevant.

Gravatar I'm curious as to how we are supposed to measure the utility of what Brian posts on MGoBlog? Is there something to be "gained" through MGoBlog readers getting their fill of Monday Recruitin'? Do readers regularly meet with the coaching staff after UFRs to shed some light on Carson Butler's performance in the last game?

'Tis a blog. It's here to entertain.

Gravatar Vest Vette
Vette Vest
Vest Vette
Vette Vest

@TennBlue,
I think the bigger reason of posting it is due to the fact we are invested in this recruit as well. It appears we are a top 2 choice for him. No other reason than that. I'm not familiar enough with NCAA rules that if this is a violation related to OSU then he decides I'll cover it up and go to UM how that would hurt us. I'll let someone else claim to know that.

Gravatar Ok, let's be clear about something; it is not in any way clear that he is being bribed.

That is all.

Gravatar Having a sex mustache means you only go for golddiggers that wear Depends.

Having a regular mustache means you expose yourself to children.

Well shit. Now I'm not sure which one to grow.

Gravatar this is no longer about pryor...

its about corvettes...

as the god father of the new...

vr mafia (vettes rule) i challenge the room to a duel....

Gravatar i appreciate a man with a nicely groomed catepillar mustache and a cold steel glare.

Gravatar @Gnarls

A regular mustache is neatly trimmed and only grows out to the edge of the lips. A sex mustache, on the other hand, is kept pretty bushy and grows a little more laterally, usually wider than the lips, and sometimes down around to the lower lip. In that way the man is communicating to the women around him that he has a big hairy penis. Or something.

Think Magnum PI or better yet, take a look at Gittelson's picture for an idea of what I'm talking about.

Gravatar Maybe TP just wanted to be Sonny Crockett for Halloween. Nice suit.

Gravatar gsimmons - I humbly disagree. This story is now about sex mustaches.

Gravatar If he is being bribed, and he still chooses Michigan, then we know that he's a good kid and it would be great to have him become a Michigan Man. There is no way we know that he is being bribed.

Brian, where did you get that picture from?

Gravatar gsimmons, I'll put my 06 'Stang up against your vette.

Gravatar formerly,

"Vest Vette
Vette Vest
Vest Vette
Vette Vest"

LOL!

Gravatar cfaller96:

Colin Cowherd has the taste and class of arabian camel in heat. I wouldn't rely on him for support that a Corvette stinks.

BTW, if you read up a little bit, you'll realize that Vette's are pretty universally accepted by the trade publications as the best sports car for the money.

Gravatar Man, I worked in that glass factory for 3 whole hours to buy that car. And now you're all dissin' on my Vette. You all suck.

I'm gonna commit to Florida International, now.

Gravatar I think that picture was on the phillyforums the other day. I heard rumor it was there, just didn't have the patience to look.

Gravatar @gsimmons

For the record, I am founding a new "Vettes Suck!" Mafia, so you'd better be careful when you start up your Camaro in the AM...

I didn't know how much I needed a flame war until I started one. Excellent...

Gravatar if he is already compromised, i'd say drop him. i am not suggesting that he's guilty of anything right now, but the situation needs to be investigated by the compliance office. they have two weeks to figure this out.

Gravatar Does this remind anyone of Jamal Crawford?

"After looking into Crawford's relationship with Seattle communications mogul Barry Henthorn, a "family friend" who housed, fed and bought gifts for the talented young hoopster, the NCAA slapped Crawford with a six-game suspension for violating rules on amateurism and extra benefits."

http://sports.findlaw.com/basket...d/02/ index.html

Gravatar @DanK,

Just looked at the OOC for baseball. Two vs AZ State in a weekend should help. Plus Coastal Carolina twice and East Carolina once. All are home tournaments for the opponent, but at least one of the Arizona State games will be on a neutral field.

Good news is I might be in town for the home opener.

Gravatar The way I look at it, as long as Michigan isn't bribing him, there is no problem. If someone is bribing him, then the NCAA will find out, and that program will be publicly exposed as dirty. If he chooses Michigan while being bribed to go elsewhere, then he is definitely a good kid who picked with heart.

I don't think that he's being bribed.

Gravatar "Having a sex mustache means you only go for golddiggers that wear Depends.

Having a regular mustache means you expose yourself to children."

8 year olds, Dude.

Gravatar it should be clear. just choose us and nobody gets in trouble. everyone wins.

Gravatar @ Bunny,

Mick wants to meet you, he has a thousand dollars.

And has never seen all of the Big Lebowski.

Gravatar Brian - this is excellent muckraking work. It's precisely why you offer such a valuable service to the UofM community. This type of reporting - asking the tough questions - wouldn't appear in the MSM print venues. You've put it in the blood stream, and hopefully some enterprising reporters will look into this to see if Sweatervest McCheatyPants and tO$U are offering bribes to recruits AGAIN.

Gravatar all this innuendo makes me feel sort of bad for pryor. he seems like a good kid whose being asked to asked to evaluate a situation that wpeople twice hsi age would struggle with. and for what? because he has a god given talent. its this kind iof stuff that turns me off from the recruiting process and the sharks that perpetuate it, namely rivals, scout, and coaches that will stop at nothing to get a kid to play for them. thats a big reason why i despise tressel and, conversly, admired lloyd. tressel played a role in the ultimate destruction of clarett's life. the win at all cost mindset truly screwed that kid up. lloyd, on the other hand, may have had a lesser winning percentage, but stories like AA's always made me proud to support michigan football. im optimistic that RR can continue that legacy.

Gravatar Another thing: I don't think that these accusations will make Wolverines look good in TP's eyes regardless of whether he's cheating. So take a chill pill, all.

Let's not be a bunch of crazy Mountaineers.

Gravatar floridawolverine,

i dont have a vette, i have a ws6...

nice about the stang...

i take your challenge however...

havent dyno'd the ws6 since ive done a few more things but it was around 400 or so last time i did

Gravatar Tim: I disagree with the sentiment that regardless if he's bribed or not, as long as he chooses Michigan, it's all good.

If he's found guilty of accepting gifts, he risks losing his eligibility, whether he goes to the school that bribed him or not. If our compliance office finds that he's in violation of NCAA rules, we must stop recruiting him. Simple as that.

Gravatar Very good point Tim.

Why would TP want to go to Michigan if they're a bunch of whiners who accuse him of taking bribes? TP can read the interet, too.

Gravatar First of all, a source inside WVU's athletic department leaked the stuff on Coach Rod. No offense to Brian, but he is a blogger with no ties to UM aside from being an alum. So, to compare us to WVU being jealous right now is dumb.

Gravatar cfaller,

a couple things i dislike, bucknuts, and econo cars...

Gravatar Mick is a nihilist.

Sounds exhausting.

Gravatar - tressel played a role in the ultimate destruction of clarett's life -

Maurice Clarett is probably mentally ill and a big-time alcoholic. I don't say that as a slam. I feel really bad for the guy. Here, though, are a few facts:

1. He took a loan against his future NFL signing bonus from the Israeli mafia;
2. He was apparently drinking vodka before Broncos practices ("get my goose on" quote);
3. He robbed two people - people who knew him personally - outside a bar that he frequented;
4. He was eventually caught by the police w/ a car full of booze and guns.

It's hard to see how Tressell made any of that happen. Any program can get a kid who goes off the deep end. I don't think Steve Fisher was a bad guy, and look at all the stuff that happened under him...

Gravatar Terrelle says, "Where the white women at?"

Gravatar Couple of things:

First, this is in no way related to LBJ. LeBron was never a college athlete, and, in Ohio, even high-school athletes do not need to maintain amateur status. In most states, that is not the case, but it is in Ohio. TP would be looking at NCAA eligibility issues; LeBron never had to think about that.

Second, a friend can give a kid a car as a graduation present. But if it's suspected to be in any way related to his role as a college athlete, it is not so permissible. College athletes--technically--can't even get free food at a local diner or free shoes at the Foot Locker in town. They can't receive anything of quantifiable value for their roles as college athletes. This may seem ludicrous, but it's because it's impossible to draw a line other than zero tolerance.

If Sarniak was indeed meeting with the Ohio State coaches, this is all bad. If Sarniak cannot be connected to any particular school, giving TP a car is entirely legitimate (in terms of the NCAA).

Gravatar i can see it now...

future argument, wher eim trying to talk about technique or scheme...

a flamers response is.... what do you know trans am man?!

Gravatar I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!!!!!!

Gravatar Even Pryor likes Barwis... TP must have been reading mgoblog.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com...igan/ index.html

Gravatar Has anyone actually said that the glass factory guy HASN'T met with any other coaching staff?

It was just reported that two OSU assistants had dinner with him, not that they were the only ones to meet with him.

I'm sure if RR had dinner with the guy at some point you would all be just as eager to say OMG CHEATING!!!11!!!!

As much as you all so desperately want this to be anything even remotely close to damning, it's really not. Sorry.

Barring some significant development, Brian is one post away from officially turning into a PSU-level nutjob on this stuff.

Hang in there, man. You'll beat us again at some point. Probably.

And just for the record, Tressel has not had any NCAA-recognized recruiting violations at OSU.

Gravatar If that is a '99 Vette, I think you could get one for around $20,000 (check Kelly Bluebook), less than almost any new car out there.

Gravatar once again...

its glass freak.... give the glass psycho proper respet when talking about him...

Gravatar All,
This is actually why Reggie Bush is in trouble right now. He did the same excat thing. He took a car, money, and a house for his parents to live in while at USC. He got this all through a old friend from high school.

Gravatar dangdangdang- you are correcto mundo

Gravatar A possible scenario:

Sarniak gave Pryor the car for the hell of it. OSU coaches freaked, drove to Jeanette to make sure Sarniak had not put any conditions or quid pro quo on it.

They were there to keep things clean, not the other way around.

Gravatar i doubt its a 99.

i would say probalby a 2002...

not the newest generation vette, but the one before...really anything up to 2004...

maybe an 04

Gravatar If I didn't know better, I'd say Pryor looks like a broke pimp. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.

Gravatar not sure how good coastal & east Carolina are, but ASu is a legit top tier team, iirc. it's too bad there are so many early (march) home games. the weather is so bad that time of year for baseball. good news is, osu is in A2 and there are plenty of late april & may games. hopefully the B10 tourney is in A2 again. @PSU early on could be trouble, but the key will be B2B weekends vs osu, Minn. a poor couple weeks will probably cost us the title.

i figure 10-4 before the home schedule starts

7-2 OOC from there on out.

probable 23-9 in the B10 ???

so thats 40-15.

Gravatar TennBlue - obviously. we understand that it very well might be the case and there are no violations. We can all gather that from the information we have so far (which is limited). However, at the same point in time, there very well could be something going on.

Gravatar (Hesitantly) Possible cool outcome from this:

Batch quietly confides to the kid that going to OSU with that Vette guarantees an NCAA investigation. Pryor chooses Michigan and eludes the taint.

P.S. Alot of people are riding this kid, but he's a kid; kids f*ck up. He's still a fairly smart kid, with a strong GPA. Somebody needs to get him the hell away from the Glassman quick.

Gravatar cfaller:

Don't know if this has been addressed, but a Porsche 911 carrera with any decent options runs about $100k, and I think a nice vette runs around 60k

Gravatar If you're rich, and drive a Vette instead of a nicer car, why not be really funny and just get a T-bird with wings on the side? This makes no sense, no sense at all.

Gravatar if i could go back and play my ball anywhere... assuming that i still wasnt good enough to go to michigan, or any other big time school..

i would pick coastal carolina... just outside of mrytle beach, about a 20-1 hot chick to ugly chick ratio, amazing facitlites...

Gravatar Tom: Your comment with so many qualifiers makes me laugh. We all know Tressel is dirty, he just hasn't been convicted of a big one yet, but don't worry, it'll happen.

Read this story, it might enlighten you: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/ne...=yhoo& type=lgns

While I hope we land TP, I really don't care that much. One guy is never gonna make or break Michigan football. I don't want him if he's dirty. That is all.

Gravatar I honestly don't think this kid knows where he is going at this point. That suggests to me that he has not entered into any quid pro quo agreements. I just don't think he knows yet.

Gravatar For the record, re: TP. This isn't on him.

Sorry, but I don't expect 16 year olds to know the rules and regs of a governing body that "governs" college athletics, in and out. Borrowing a "friend's" car is legit. Offering said car when you're trying (potentially) to gain influence in the world of amateur athletics is sleaze.

And yes. I said "POTENTIALLY"... this is a big "If"...

Gravatar gsimmons--- does Pepperdine have a football squad? I hear similar things about their enrollment, and the school's location is supposedly second to none.

And if they don't have a football squad... well then... may I suggest you start one? I'll be the S/C coach.

Gravatar Floridagoblue: We all know RR is dirty too. I mean, he recruited Chris Henry and Pacman Jones and covered up all their shenanigans.

Fact: The NCAA has no record of Tressel committing recruiting violations at OSU.

The multiple people above who said otherwise are wrong.

Gravatar we ALL know? just tossin around blanket generalizations now...

Gravatar not sure i could handle being a west coast guy though, ward. isnt that were peperdine is?

i dont think they would like me too much on the west coast...

Gravatar I actually thought about going to law school at Pepperdine and sacrificing the prestige of going to a top-ten school. The campus is unreal, and the women there are too.

Gravatar @DanK

Of course hopefully the B10 tourney is in AA, that means we'd won the regular season. lol. Eastern and Coastal spent considerable time in the top 25. One of them was in a super regional I believe (perhaps its been 8 months and I no longer remember clearly). I want to say they were a 1 or a 2 seed in their bracket. I know East Carolina is top 25 (barely) on Baseball America. Might have been them.

I think 15 OOC wins is quite doable considering our ranking to others. Really it should be closer to 18-19. I'll stick with moderately conservative.

Big10 play is always a question mark. Having Iowa at home will be good. Kinnick is not the only home field advantaged lore they have.

Gravatar well if tom says so, i have to believe it.

oh lord, brain put that pic on his AOL blog too. that should be interesting comment reading.

Gravatar i have a buddy that played bball at east carolina he goes to the college world series ever year.... they have a good squad this year....

Gravatar and now I have to drive to scenic Utica, NY. Man does that blow.

yay rust/snow belt.

Gravatar Pepperdine is west coast... Malibu.

Gravatar yeah dang,

im not sure im aloud in malibu.... think its some kinda law agaisnt me even entering the town...

Gravatar of course with the t's off on my ws6... and night ranger blaring, they might make an exception and let me coach there....

Gravatar That isn't even a nice Corvette. Damn, he should have gotten a Porsche or something. When I was in high school I drove a Benz. It's really not that big of a deal what kind of car the kid drives.

Gravatar haha... I'm a midwest guy myself. Plus, three more years of student season tickets at the Big House was a big selling point.

Gravatar I don't understand how people can brush this off as obviously nothing. It very well may be. But *if* we're to believe Lichtenfels and Scout we now have:

1.) Sarniak lending Pryor a car and perparing to give it to him for a graduation present.
2.) Sarniak meeting OSU coaches for dinner while in town to visit with Pryor.

So, basically, the only thing standing between OSU and major recruting violations is:

3.) Evidence that Sarniak has ever said to Pryor, "Terrelle, I think you should to OSU."

I'm sure if RR had dinner with the guy at some point you would all be just as eager to say OMG CHEATING!!!11!!!!

If this were RR, I would be shitting my pants. Of course, I've lived through the Ed Martin debacle, so maybe I'm paranoid.

Gravatar Tom: The difference between Tressel and RR is this: Tressel has been convicted of secondary violations, OSU has been placed on probation because of Clarett and Youngstown State was hit with a major violation during his tenure there. The evidence is clear.

RR has recruited a few questionable characters, but that's not a violation of any sort. John Thompson recruited Allen Iverson to Georgetown after he just got out of jail, that's not a violation, either. While I don't want RR to recruit the CHs and PJs of the world here at Michigan, he's never done anything that's remotely run afoul of the NCAA.

Gravatar in terms of pacman, i've heard from multiple sources that barwis basically adopted the kid after his first incident as a freshman. i think thats a little different than "covering up" alleged mis-deeds. opbviously, tressel cant be fully blamed for what happened to clarett. but it was widely known what type of kid clarett was coming out of school. i remember reading dispatch articles that basically stated that clareet had never had a father and osu, by taking him, had better be ready to designate someone to be his father. that didnt happen. instead, an atmosphere of "winning is the only thing that matters" was created in c-bus. clarett won and so he got whatever he wanted and no one had the courage (either in the program or out of it) to do what was right for clarett. it wasnt like it was a secret what was going on. thats what i blame tressel for. its an institutional rather than personal complaint.

Gravatar yea, i guess i have 17-6 OOC there.... given CC & ECU are pretty solid, perhaps i should amend that a bit. but still, if we stay healthy (and by we i mean Putnam) then we should be more optimistic.

the standard schedule start is great, but it should have been pushed back 2 weeks further. march games up north are a 50-50 proposition at best.

Gravatar the new 'vette (ZR-1?) at the detroit auto show is priced around $100k. (it reportedly goes 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds.) this, obviously, is the most expensive model. $70k should buy the loaded base model. (better yet get any older model and easily pay much, much less.)

Gravatar baseball workouts are already in full swing down here...

highschool and college

Gravatar FloridaGoBlue: OSU is not on probation as far as I know. The NCAA violation database is not available right now.

I am almost positive that there was no finding of institutional wrongdoing WRT Clarett.

Gravatar Utica, NY?

formerly, be sure to ask for a 'steamed ham' if you order a burger.

+10 for whoever gets that reference.

Gravatar DanK: I could use the points, thanks.

Principal Skinner setting fire to the kitchen as he cooks dinner for Supernintendo Chalmers.

Gravatar Now another possibility is that Brian knows TP has picked Michigan and TP is actually in on this. Thus tehe whole "controversy" here is just a prank to piss off the Buckeyes.

THAT I would agree with wholeheartedly.

Gravatar Anonymous ,

you mean the ls3

going to be one of the fastest production cars ever....

Gravatar This is ridiculous. MGoBlog is getting back into the crazy conspiracy shit we saw in during the coaching search.

Gravatar Shit, a '64 GTO would go 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. Is that all they've got to show for 45 years of engineering?

Gravatar or maybe they are calling it the zr1 my bad....

its a ls3 motor i think

Gravatar tennblue...

i respectfully call bs on that one...

love ya man, but a 64 gto did not do the 60 in 3.2 seconds.... ill fess up if im wrong...

Gravatar maybe 6 seconds. but that is flying for a car that heavy...

Gravatar That convinced Pryor is going elsewhere? I know disappointment is a bitter pill to swallow, but come on. Seriously, that photo is from before even the '07 High School football season. Please stop grasping at straws.

Gravatar Tom: OSU football was placed on one-year probation in 2005, for Troy Smith's violations. The NCAA could not find anything with Maurice Clarett because he refused to cooperate with the investigation.

I'd say OSU dodged a bullet, even if Clarett would not be a reliable or credible witness.

Gravatar DanK: I could use the points, thanks.

But isn't it an Albany expression?

Gravatar new post and you're not first

Gravatar My mistake. Got my signals crossed on that one. It was in an article about muscle cars in general. Got the GTO confused with another.

'64 GTO was officially 6.6s 0-60.
Car and Driver did it in 4.6s in stock tires.

Gravatar I need to start my baseball workouts.....today is as good a day as any.

+10 for tom

unfortunately, -10^12 for being a buckeye. tell me, when will osu feel secure enough in it's own shoes so as to remove the 'THE' from the title? i know ohioU and UTol and BG are your peers, but it still just seems petty.

Gravatar so we want a kid who, accoridng to this blog, either:

1) takes bribes
2) likes vettes
3) reads this blog and would rule us the school out for what is said here. TP go back and read the blogs regarding the coaching search and realize that nobody here will effect your future at U of M or TSDS

Gravatar FloridaGoBlue: Like when Charles Woodson was walking a nice old lady to church and a mean old agent forced him to take a bunch of cash, but the NCAA found out too late to do anything about it? Sort of like that?

But I'm sure he's the ooooonly Michigan player involved in something like that, plus the coaching staff never knew about it.

Because players in any sport never get paid at Michigan.

Gravatar dang it, i got it backwards...it is an albany expression. (well not *really*)

did you know Grandpa S was once voted most handsome man in albany, NY?

/simpsons US NY related triva

Gravatar Tom: Oh, no, not at all. I'm not gonna sit here and say Michigan is holier than thou. You look at the rafters at Crisler, it's mostly empty, and we know why. The basketball program cheated and deserved to be punished.

But give Lloyd Carr this much: He did everything by the book, sometimes to his own detriment. For that he'll have my everlasting admiration.

Gravatar FloridaGoBlue: I'm guessing that Carr ran the cleanest program he could, but it's naive (for others, not necessarily you) to pretend the M football program squeaks. Common sense indicates that there were booster problems with the basketball and baseball programs in the last quarter-century or so. Odds are the most popular and powerful program on campus probably had a few issues behind the scenes as well.

Again, I think Bo and his successors ran the cleanest programs they could. I also don't think Tressel is nearly as close to Barry Switzer as many of you are making him out to be.

As for THE Ohio State University, that really arose following a lawsuit filed by Ohio University in the 90s where they tried to trademark the word Ohio. It was settled with a bunch of different rulings for different stuff, but I'm almost positive that's where it came from.

Gravatar Sorry, I think I had a misfire in my brain in the middle of one of those paragraphs.

How about this: Common sense indicates that since there were booster problems with the basketball and baseball programs in the last quarter-century or so, odds are the most popular and powerful program on campus probably had a few issues behind the scenes as well.

Gravatar The grapes! There soooo sour!!!

Gravatar I know I may be late to the post, but I just can't stop laughing at:

SU coaches meeting w/ a guy who might give Pryor a car just doesn't equal violation.

Homer: Well, no bears in sight. The Bear Patrol is working!

Homer: Uh-huh. How does it work?

Lisa: It doesn't - it's just a stupid rock! But you don't see any tigers, do you?

Homer: Lisa, I'd like to buy your rock...
Erik | 01.23.08 - 1:24 pm | #

Erik - LOL!! Very nice.

Gravatar Tom: I think "tried" is the right word. No coach can ever run a 100% clean program, unless you're at a D-III school or something. There are too many outside influences at work, sometimes out of anyone's control.

I don't think Tressel is as dirty as Switzer or anything like in the ol' SWC days, but there's just something about him that's not quite right. And this has nothing to do with his being at OSU.

Or tOSU ... that's an interesting tidbit. I've never heard that.

Gravatar Reggie Bush got prime California real estate. Corvette is small potatos. But it sure looks like he is bought and paid for by tOSU.

Gravatar Tom give it up. Whether or not Clarrett got caught is moot. We all know that OSU fucked up and completely got lucky. Troy smith did get caught and Tressel has previous violations at Youngstown. You speculate that Michigan players have been paid but refuse to do so about OSU players. Sounds a bit biased to me.

But back on to Pryor. The more time passes the less I seem to want him to come. He comes off as a someone who needs to the center of attention. I mean calling Scout about the RR taking the Michigan job, having Florida on his list despite saying he wanted to stay close to home and they have 3 5* qbs already and adding LSu to his list only after they win the national championship.

Gravatar "Sex mustache" is the best term I have heard in weeks. Fantastic.

Gravatar ah, the sex 'stache. boon to grotesque fake titted women everywhere.

Gravatar This is an excellent direction for the conversation, I must say.

Gravatar what if Pryor ends up putting his pen to a UM LOI on Feb 6th? can we assume, using the same kind of logic that Rodriguez somehow was involved. this whole thing is just full of idiocy.

this blogs going to hell pretty fast - damn, wish this signing day thing would just get here and fast.

Gravatar It is stupid and repetitive to bring up the Fab 5 scandal. Tom, you are blind to the fact that just b/c there are accusations of recruiting violations at tOSU does NOT mean that we don't acknowledge where we wen't wrong in the past. I think why so many people here are heated about this is 2 reasons: 1) it is tOSU, our biggest and most hated rival and 2) this happened to us and we know how serious it is!

Quit using the Fab5 defense. That happened and was in our past with and old staff over 15 years ago. This is going on NOW at tOSU with their present staff and organization.

Gravatar *an old staff

Gravatar FloridaGoBlue, show me some evidence where OSU football was placed on a one year probation. i don't recall this ever happening.

Gravatar If the glassman is a booster, OSU has problems.

This splains "booster."

http://www.mgoblue.com/complianc...e.aspx? id=73958

Gravatar First, what proof is there that Sarniak met with OSU officials? Second, do we even know if Sarniak has ties to OSU? Did he go there? Is he a fan?

Because all I know for sure is that he has a thing for glass and likes to wear it in his hair. EVERYTHING else is speculation. I say people back the f off on this one. Again, whining and making accusations only makes UM fans look bad.

Gravatar Pryor...Ummm....something just dont smell right with this one....But then again...it won't be the first time I've been wrong...hope I am.

Gravatar cornhole has a 64 goat, no way in 3.2sec. but ive got the 4bbl not
the tripower

Gravatar I wonder how many people actually know, or even have met a college football player, let alone one at at school like Ohio State or Michigan. I'm guessing it's a fairly small percentage.

Anyway.

That you would question the character of an individual you've never had a conversation with, met, seen from across the room or even been in the same zip code as, is silly.

In the first place, what makes you such a fine judge of character? I'd be willing to bet that everyone who reads this has made their fair share of questionable decisions. Yet (some of) you are willing to throw this kid under the bus based on where he goes to school.

Secondly, I find it hilarious that so many people on here give a crap about this kid's "character" (or pretend to). It's so hopelessly naive. By the very nature of the sport they play, major college football players are an insecure, insular, aggressive and generally spoiled bunch. Do not misunderstand me, there are plenty of stand up guys playing on D-I rosters, but they are the minority. They're not saints, and we shouldn't expect them to be, because that's hypocrisy.

Finally, the fact of the matter is that we (probably) will never find out 10% of what is actually happening/has actually happened re: Pryor and the corvette. When I saw the picture I immediately thought Prom picture. Am I the only one who borrowed his neighbor's nice car for Prom?. Brian saw a recruiting violation. But that's the point, I don't know any better than Brian or anybody else what the story behind that picture is. It's just a picture.

So just let this thing play out in what ever way it will and IF and ONLY IF all the facts come out, then feel free to judge.

Gravatar Commentors have confused 2 issues not conflated in this particular post. Thru that misunderstanding Brian is being incorrectly criticized. This post here does not mention OSU. There is no contention OSU has done anything or evidence of such. However, if, as the Scout quote states, the car is Sarniak's and TP is borrowing it and will recieve it at graduation that is bad news for TP. In order for Sarniak to give TP a gift of that magnitude he better have strong documentable ties to TP. If the car is, as quoted, a gift from Sarniak then this post is very important regardless of who is recruiting TP.

The rumors start with the alleged meeting of OSU coaches and Sarniak. That is not mentioned in this post. If Sarniak is giving TP a car one can assume he has a reason. One obvious reason is to influence his choice of schools. While it is true of many schools, in Tressel's past parties loosely affiliated with YSU and OSU have given improper gifts to players. This point is not debated. What remains unproven is Tressel's knowledge or involvement in these trangressions.

If TP accepting bribes it is strikes as naive in the extreme to believe he will choose another school.

Gravatar Let me ask you guys something, for clarifications sake:

If I was a highly-touted college football prospect, and my uncle knew a bunch of OSU guys and really wanted me to go there, and he said "If you go to OSU I'll buy you a car."

Violation? Even though he's my uncle?

If not, is it just because he's my uncle? What if it's a family friend?

It just seems like there's a lot of gray area here.

-Austin
http://blog10football.blogspot.com

Gravatar I'd much rather have him accept the wheels so that after he commits to UofM he can spit on the state of Ohio as he drives through on his way to AA in his newly repainted blue corvette, instead of not accepting it at all.

Gravatar While no one fully understands the arcana of the NCAA rules (least of all the NCAA), I believe family members, such as uncles, are allowed to buy players gifts and even openly attempt to influence their decision. For instance, I think if Jamal Crawford's guardian had legally adopted him the NCAA would have had not problem with the arrangement.

"Business men" cannot give players outlandish gifts. As TennBlue has demonstrated business men are perfectly allowed to give regular college students all the gifts they want. I just wouldn't share a bed with them afterwards.

Gravatar At this point, I don't think any of us have nearly enough information to say anything definitive on the situation. There are a couple of vague facts, more than a few he said she saids, and one interesting picture *if any of the allegations are made more concrete*. While I don't find anything wrong with all us internet experts (interexperts?) discussing, going over what ifs and whathaveyous, I definitely advocate staying on the openly speculative side of things... and I think the same should go for Brian. IMHO every post here should start with "If x is true..." but maybe that's just the natural skeptic in me.

Gravatar first

Gravatar Shouldn't you wait until Terrelle announces he's going to OSU before you start spewing sour grapes and making accusations?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to go to a school where the fanbase starts accusing him of stuff before he ever steps on campus.

Here at The Ohio State University, we'll be proud of Terrelle in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Columbus Ohio on the football field.

Gravatar said it before, if you're going to imply something - in this case re-imply something - and by the looks of things - imply it again & again.....get a 'set' and simply say what you're getting at.

Gravatar @ lane,

totally disagree with you about the direction of this blog. if you want recruiting update of facilities, subscribe to Rivals. that's what it's for. if you are too cheap, then fuck off. Blogs are meant for fun rumormongering and flight tracking.

Gravatar Fivegoldpantsinarow,

Here in Ann Arbor the fan base will promise not to send TP death threats for dropping a TD pass. Too bad Hartsock had no such guarantee. Thanx, for playing with your ridiculous proud just for playing BS.

Gravatar Oh I got another one Fivegoldpantsinarow, if TP goes to OSU and say plays horribly in the champhionship game will the proud fanbase promise to refrain from speculating that he threw the game? Or is that one reserved for Troy Smith? Because, it seems to me the fanbase is pretty only happy with winners and if say that winner turns out to be a mentally unwell lunatic well... I guess you don't see too many 13 jerseys in the 'shoe.

Gravatar DP - your post speaks volumes. thanks!

Gravatar imafrak

I had a hard time getting the gist of your jibberish, for those of us who don't speak buffoon could you translate that into either English or Spanish please?

Gravatar Dear sweater vest,

the gentleman with the five gold pants appeared to be suggesting that the Buckeye fans were very loving all accepting fans who just wanted to be proud of TP as a community leader. OSU and their fans are many things (many good things) but all accepting fans that just want to support their guys (in classroom and community) is not one I can accept. To support my case I presented 3 recent players who the fanbase turned against. Hartsock and Troy Smith were guilty of trying their best but failing. 13 was guilty of many things including being mentally unwell. That was the sum total of my contention. My apologies for the confusion.

Gravatar ima-

hamby vs. texas in '05, not hartsock. get your death threats straight.

Gravatar Brian is rapidly losing credibility.

Gravatar If you zoom in on the picture it looks like someone is in the driver's seat, which would explain why the passenger seat is open. I honestly think that T.P. possibly has a rich High School friend that he went to a dance with or maybe his family rented him a car... But then again y'all might say I have scarlet and gray colored glasses on.

Gravatar - Oh, **** me, man! That kid already spent all the money!

- New Vette? Hardly, Dude. I'd say he's still got about $960 - $970,000 left, depending on the options.

Gravatar Everybody listen to Brian. His sources are never wrong.

Gravatar I'm 221 comments late on this, and i can't read all that, but how exactly is TP borrowing a car from a random guy with no ties to any university illegal?

Gravatar Nice try blaming this on the Buckeyes, but isn't Sarniak a Pen State Booster?

Gravatar all i know is i got a ford focus and im looking to reace for pinks.
big gay heart | 01.23.08 - 1:32 pm |

I'll take my Focus up against yours! It's pretty sweet...lowest class available, white, no decals...pretty impressive! But I bet anyone here with a sports car that I could waste you in gas mileage if we raced!
