Gravatar re: fundraiser....

M put up 30% of the total. outstanding.

Gravatar THIRD

Gravatar You know the negative $170 slapped on the Buckeyes was M money, too.

Some was mine, and I bet some was Keegan's.

Gravatar When I am rich someday, I will more than make up for not participating in the charity. In fact, I think I will buy the federal gov't since OSU is a very public institution and run it into the ground.

Gravatar M - Flightsci:

When I am elected President I promise the American people I will turn the entire state of Ohio into a giant labor camp for the betterment of the nation.

Gravatar Brian- go to NY and have fun.

Do not worry about us.

Gravatar No, I will not lie, I did not donate against OSU. I = Fail.

Gravatar Dr. J,

I worry about all of us. We are not alright.

Gravatar Whoa.

We may be arrogant, but we are generous.

Gravatar Japanese Detergent Suicide-
The U.S. internment camps for Japanese citizens in WWII were the brainchild of a man from Columbus*. So that shall be your motivation.

*This may not be true but is very probable.

Gravatar Hey man,

I'm just here trying to stay with all you hep young kids and your newfangled trends and lingo!

Now get off my damn lawn!

No, you can't have your damn ball back!

Gravatar You're Fired!

Gravatar UM had 78 (of 270) contributors and fully 1/3 of the total. OSU had the largest donor who gave $2000. Good for him.

Er, I mean, fuck that guy!

Gravatar Brian has friends outside of us?

Gravatar Looks like the Red Wings got caught in a little blumpkin backfire tonight.

Oh well.

Gravatar @Dank:

Your "double fixed" comment over at EDSBS is GEN.I.US.

Gravatar Well done, OSU. Way to at least try to catch up with Michigan. It's important. The world is pretty much coming to an end.

That's awesome. $20,000 raised by college football fans. I am glad to be a part of this.

Gravatar Hey gsimmons did you see you got some love on Brian's mgo.licio.us toolbar?

Gravatar Maybe someone will answer this when they wake up tomorrow. I just watched the trailer for the new Mark Wahlberg movie "The Happening". It looked somewhat interesting and since the Funky Bunch, Wahlberg's had a pretty respectable career and been in good movies (please don't debate that because I don't care what your opinion on Wahlberg is). Then I see that it is directed by M. Night Shamalan (don't care how it's spelled), and I immediately decide that it will suck. Does anyone else get that same feeling when they see his name attached to any movie?

Good night.

Gravatar Giving money to good causes is so elitist.

Gravatar Keegan -

As soon as I saw it was by M. Night Shamalamdingdong - I thought it would suck.

I liked the 6th sense, and unbreakable was OK - but my friends saw Signs and said it was laughable, I tried to watch the village and it was horrible, I didn't even bother with that Lady in the Water crap.

I'm done with his movies for sure.

Robot Chicken lampooned him and their "Oh what a twist" take was right on.

Gravatar http://www.adultswim.com/video/? ...f1975263000905f

Link to the parody of M. Night - probably SFW but obviously not the kind of thing to play at work.

Gravatar Hail to the victors. Good job donating, folks.

Gravatar Ninja,

athankyou. [bows].

w/o that one donor from osu, they finish a respectable 8th. that was a fairly dominant performance. and by fairly, i mean completely.

honestly, i'm like M night. never saw lady in the h2o, but i heard mixed things & it didn't really sound all that intriguing to me. the 6th sense was good, but i liked unbreakable more b/c i'm a sucker for superheros who are regular guys. also liked the village & signs (they were transparent in some ways, but i don't mind that too much). they 'struck more of a cord' w/ me, whatever that means. i go into a movie w/ a blank slate & my attitude is 'let the movie do what it intends to do.' iow, i don't over analyze or try to predict the outcome.

that said, i don't think his movies are great enough to HAVE to see in the theatre. i'm usually pretty choosy about what i see at the theatre (married + kid == 4-5 movies per year). dark night is a must see. indy, i wasn't too excited about until they started playing the 1st 3 on tnt & spike. they are just good, fun movies. still, laboof + no connery + no shorty (doctaJONES!!!) + 65yo indy + Karen Allen + george lucas w/ too much technology == tempered expectations.

has anyone heard what the pitching rotation is for the NW series this weekend in A2?

Gravatar The Wings did run into a blumkinface (the refs). First goal should have counted (Holmstrom was no where near the crease).

Also on Dallas first goal, that guy 2 feet in the crease before the puck even reached Osgood? I know he did not interfere with Osgood, but in the crease is in the frickin' crease.

Well my prediction was pretty close (Dallas won), but I was way wrong on the penalties! They were not one sided, but they made up for that by disallowing goals and allowing goals they had just disallowed minutes before. (if that makes sense)

Wings take them next game! Pens finish them out tonight!

Gravatar i would like to thank all the little people that i had to push and shove around to get to the top of that list....

Gravatar http://cfn.scout.com/2/754896.html

CFN has Michigan in Outback bowl; interesting at first, but then I saw them having Miami vs Notre Dame in Gator Bowl, so yeah, take their projections with a grain of salt

Gravatar Saban is awesome in his.... "slippery-ness"??

From the Chicago Tribune:
"I don't know if it's being crafty or not, but in college football, recruiting is the lifeblood, so we have to do everything we can to get to know the young men and the coaches."

Southeastern Conference coaches sponsored the new rule in response to Alabama coach Nick Saban.

Several coaches told the Tribune in February that Saban was the most blatant violator of the old "bump" role, which prohibited coaches from having extensive conversations with recruits whom they bump into while at high schools in the spring.

No surprise, perhaps, that Saban already has found a way around the rule.

He has pioneered the use of the Webcam, saying he speaks to "four or five" recruits a day from his office via the Web. The NCAA permits those conversations—at least for now.

"Whenever a rule gets passed, coaches find a way around it," CSTV recruiting analyst Tom Lemming said. "The same coaches that love recruiting always want that edge."

Gravatar The EDSBS retrofit is complete, including "Space, Bitches, Space." Well done to all that donated.

Gravatar Best part about the village was when you found out the "monsters" were just costumes. I laughed out loud and then was "shushed" by some people. Including the girl I'd met there. She wasn't that great (I was in HS then) so I just told her the next hour would be a waste if I stayed. So I left and she didn't come with. We did NOT hook up.

Ninja,

I think that was the moment I became "me".

Gravatar @WTB

I know it's WAY TOO EARLY, but I would probably be happy with that this year.

Gravatar I have a man crush on Joaquin Phoenix, so I liked "The Village."

Gravatar a/s/l karen, i'll become your #1 favorite if you give me 23 seconds.

Gravatar karen could be a guys name too dex...

Gravatar I don't see your point

Gravatar You want to know something funny? It was either before Unbreakable came out or before the one after it when Newsweek had an issue that had Shyamalan on the cover with the caption: "The Next Spielberg?" Whoops.

It should have said: "The Dos Del Rios of Film Directors?"

Gravatar Or is it Los Del Rios? I forget. You know, the guys mowing my lawn...er, the guys who did Macarena?

Gravatar your right dex,

no point...

Gravatar Magnus,

The Phoenix man-crush is understandable. He great in "Walk the Line".

Dex,

23? Hhhhmmmmmmmm.

My greatest pick-up line is "I may be hung like a squirrel but I can hold my breath for an hour."

Gravatar Do we have any shot with this Chris Watt character?

Gravatar I've NEVER seen:

The Village, The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, or basically any movie that will probably be mentioned on this blog.

Sad. I know.

Gravatar Afro,

Not really. I never saw the 6th Sense, Unbreakable isn't bad, all other movies by M. Night suck.

Gravatar top 10 baby!

and i will also take credit for #1, since i think it was my post guest post back in sept that was the catalyst for gsimmons to start coming here a few days/weeks later.

also, i have have pretty good skills w/ a bowstaff.

edsbs looks beautiful.

Gravatar 6th Sense was awesome. Unbreakable and Signs were tolerable. That's about it.

Gravatar EDSBS is still the regular look on my computer? What the hell? Does the west coast not get updates.

Gravatar Is Bryce McNeal visiting this weekend? Is there a good chance that he will commit then?

Gravatar Dank,

i dont remeber, what was it that got me posting here?

i have no problem giving credit where credit is due, as long as you also admit that you edit my posts for spelling and gramtical errors.

Gravatar @ Tim

Yes, McNeal is visiting this weekend. I've heard that he's going to announce on the 18th, so I think it's really really really really really likely that he commits to Michigan.

Gravatar 1) i'm not sure either
2) i don't care about spelling
3) i think one has to hit refresh to see the new edsbs

Gravatar i remember somone telling me about ufr, then i saw it, and sent an email to brian about it,i think then he posted it... and maybe you asked a question about my post or something... yeah i think that was it... and the new area began

Gravatar If I asked you all to list your favorite movies ever....I would probably have seen about 10 of them total. I just this year saw "Bladerunner" for the first time.

How do you find time? I can always, ALWAYS find some sports on the dish, or that I have DVR'd. Last night it was Wings game, NBA playoffs, and a replay of the 1999 and 2000 OSU vs. UCLA games on Fox Sports Pacific. (It was definitely bittersweet to see Patrick McCall break off a 70 something yard td run to seal the 2000 game).

Yes, I have a sickness.

Gravatar My movie viewing increased tenfold once I started using netflix and bought a laptop.

Gravatar I watch a movie every Friday and every Saturday night. I usually run out of sports to watch around 10 or 11 on those nights, so I put in a DVD.

Lame, I know. But true.

Gravatar me and my wife have movie night every sunday night... there now you see my soft side. KGH would be proud

Gravatar @ Weymouth: ND and OSU would probably be considered the frontrunners for Watt with UM and IL behind. We'll see if that changes after the BBQ or not. Maybe he really likes grilled chicken.

I usually watch two to three movies a week. However, I'm too lazy to actually get up and put a DVD in, so I'm constrained to whatever is on Starz/Encore. This results in me watching things like "Committed" in which Heather Graham actually manages to look unattractive.

Gravatar Anyone else annoyed at that stupid TGI Fridays commercial with Guy Fieri eating mostacholi like he's fucking sweet or something? It's the one where he's scoping out a table of hot babes and telling me, the viewer, that I could probably bang them. First of all, this Guy character (from diner, drive ins, and dives) is a total herb and I hate him and second, its sending the message that there's tons of totally easy pussy just hanging out at TGI Fridays. Which is bullshit, because everytime I've eaten there I've gotten shitty service from disinterested high schoolers and my fellow patrons have almost always been beaten down white trash.

Gravatar a/s/l karen, i'll become your #1 favorite if you give me 23 seconds.

Braggart.

@Keegan:
Had the same problem. Deleted my cookies and temp internet files and it's showing up.

Gotta say it looks awesome, but I'm protesting the fact the actual "EDSBS" lettering is not in Maize.

Gravatar when it comes to flexing nuts, michigan always flexes the hardest.

in some ways, its all too reminiscent of the tiny cowboy who buys a giant ass pick up truck.

still, the cash went to a good cause so thats awesome.

Gravatar Unintentionally funny blurb from the freep today:

"The Wings are also hoping to sign prospect Dick Axelsson, a talented Swedish forward, before losing his rights June 1"

Gravatar Funny, my dick is named "Swede".

Gravatar I lived on Jefferson my second year in Ann Arbor and this guy lived down the street who had the largest pick up truck I've ever seen and had Cali plates. My roomates and I used to sit on the porch and yell things like "grow a penis" and "that truck doesn't make up for your inadequacies" at him. He would give us the finger and we'd all laugh at him, but I know as he turned the corner onto Division a single tear rolled down his cheek and splashed on the denim covering his tiny cock.

Gravatar Does anyone else find it strange that not one single media outlet has bothered to get the RR side of the #1 jersey issue?

I would have thought he would have been on Jim Rome the next day talking about how he's already spoken to BE about it, and blah blah blah...

Gravatar @Musket

Bravo. Posts like that are the reason that I keep coming back here.

Gravatar The thing I find interesting about all this is that it seems to refute the claims that Michigan fans are by and large a bunch of "Wal-Mart Wolverines," white trash who want to affiliate themselves with something successful.

Gravatar That was in reference to the large turn out of M fans who gave money to the Charity Bowl.

Gravatar I had a choice yesterday between Man-doo and the poo-poo platter. I asked myself "Self? what sounds good?". I ordered both and ate the waiter.

Just crapped out a shoe.

To Hell with Michigan.

Gravatar I hate cowboys, in general. First, they kill all the indians and all the buffalos. That's bullshit. Indians fucking rule. Buffalos are nice animals. Then, they popularize pop-country, vote republican, and populate texas. If I had to make a list of three things that I hate it would go:

1. Texas
2. Texas
3. Texas

Gravatar Y'all can hate Texas all you want, but we DID invent dragging homos behind pick-ups, so fuck off.

Gravatar BGH

4. Patch Adams

Gravatar i thought you invented dragging blacks behind pick ups?

Gravatar Nawww man- that was Mississippi. We did invent shooting Messcans with deer rifles though.

Gravatar Other Chris

At least in the state of Michigan I've noticed that MSU basketball has become the new UM football as far as bandwagon fans go. Which is great because now everyone brings up the Wal-Mart Wolverines bullshit I respond in kind. Then I tell them that Tom Izzo is going to the Bulls and they die a little inside.

Gravatar Musket -

Yes, lets talk about Patch Adams. Robin Williams, I hope YOU get cancer. And I hope, when you are on your deathbed, I some hackneyed comedian comes into your hospital room wearing a fucking clown nose. Honk, honk. Secretly, this shitty ass clown is hoping you die. Why? So he can jerk some tears out the saps who got conned into watching your shity movie.

FUCK PATCH ADAMS.

Gravatar ...."I lived on Jefferson my second year in Ann Arbor and this guy lived down the street who had the largest pick up truck I've ever seen and had Cali plates. My roomates and I used to sit on the porch and yell things like "grow a penis" and "that truck doesn't make up for your inadequacies" at him. --..."The thing I find interesting about all this is that it seems to refute the claims that Michigan fans are by and large a bunch of "Wal-Mart Wolverines," white trash who want to affiliate themselves with something successful...?????!"

Two posts which prove two AA traits-"Arrogance & Denial"

Gravatar I'd like to see a Mork and Mindy reunion. Where they both die of bone cancer.

Gravatar holy shit, that post was unintelligable.

patch adams just inspires a rage inside of me. i lose my connection with rationality.

seriously though, what a terrible movie. i want to know who the fucking jerk off was that came up with an idea to shoot a plastic tearjerker film about kids dying of fucking cancer.

Gravatar No surprise here...I've never seen Patch Adams, but BGH already has me convinced I'm not missing much.

Gravatar you gotta cut robin williams a little bit of slack due to the fact that he was horfing down small mountains of yayo and later rivers of booze. but i agree, he's loud, overrated, and not that funny.

Gravatar @BGH
Texas will gladly take back McGuffie then. No more Matrix for you. And Stonum too. You can keep Woolfolk.

Gravatar hell's pay per view exclusively plays patch adams.

Gravatar Speaking of movies- watched a little bit of River Runs Through It last night.

Great line, when we are introduced to the girlfriend's family. "They were Methodists. My father (Presbyterian minister)once referred to Methodists as 'Baptists that can read'".

Gravatar Did anyone see The Guardian?

That gets my nomination to the crap factory. Talk about a horrible, makes-no-sense ending.

Gravatar I did however see that Michael Keaton movie way back when, where he had cancer or something, and filmed his life so he unborn child would have something to remember????

No clue on the name, but I just remember 3 ladies in front of me sobbing UNCONTROLLABLY the ENTIRE movie.

Gravatar The Guardian? Haven't seen it.

Gravatar Musket Rebellion has always hated me for this, but every time Goose dies in Top Gun, I laugh my ass off.

Gravatar WHERE IN THE HELL IS MY GOD DAMNED PRESIDENT BUSH REFUND CHECK. I WANT MY MONEY.

Gravatar Now THAT is a TEARJERKER.

Gravatar Friend asked me to tag along with her to see Titanic; I was laughing and cheering when Leo died at end.

Gravatar ahahahaha WTB. Me too.

Gravatar Titanic might actually be THE worst movie ever.

"I paint one-legged whores...you wanna go somewhere and fuck?"

Gravatar @Afrocalypse Now,

What was the last (new) movie you did see?

Gravatar titanic wasn't that bad, not great, but i don't understand how you could be that sad at the end. with having some knowledge of history in the back of your head its almost like you could've foreseen the ship going down..

Gravatar Titanic was stupid, but what do you expect? The boat's going down either way.

Leo's done some good work before and since that damn boat movie. Anyone see The Departed?

Gravatar grandma's boy trumps all

Gravatar I'll have to think about that....

I did just see that Apocalypto movie by Mel Gibson this week....does that count? I'm not sure when that came out??

It was on like Encore or some shit, at like 2am after one of the playoff games, so I watched it.

Gravatar Leo came through with The Departed and Blood Diamond; I'll forgive him for Titanic. Besides, I'm sure he got a boatload of cash and more women than he can handle

Gravatar I really hate these movies:

1.Troy
2.Remember the Titans
3.The Perfect Storm

I had a debate with JHS the other day about Troy. The only reason, and this is a legitimately gay reason, to watch that movie was because Brad Pitt was Achilles. But they completely ruined one of the greatest literary works in the history of man. If you are trying to portray Brad Pitt as one of the most feared warriors of all time, you don't edit out any part of the poem where the character is a complete badass. How do you not show Achilles battling the river? Fuck Troy, and really I'm not a fan of Eric Bana either. Mainly because when I was in HS I saw Black Hawk Down with a complete douche bag and he thought Eric Bana was the fucking man. I know he's tried to make up for it with his movies since (i.e. Munich) but he'll forever be connected with that douche bag.

Gravatar i don't know about the movie but A River Runs Through It was the best book ever written. Period.

Gravatar Just watched the video on Rivals from the HS camp and Teric Jones looks like the real deal - Maybe the RB I am most excited to see play. Will Campbell is an absolute beast. Its not even fair to assess his ability because he is so far ahead of any of those OL he went up against. I will stress again the RROd needs to recruit the state of Mich well and develop a stronghold on the top talent.

Gravatar Whoa... Staines, this is obviously a movie blog, not a Michigan football blog. I don't know where you got the idea to talk about football in here.

Gravatar Troy? nope.
Remember the Titans? nope
The Perfect Storm? nope
The Departed? nope
Blood Diamond? nope
A River Runs Through It? nope
Black Hawk Down? YES!

Gravatar lets combine the two.. as in just about every mich football fan thinking lil bro was going to latch onto 300 as soon as they yelled 'SPARTA!'

Gravatar Best football movie. Go:

Gravatar @M4B

This is sad. I can't even remember the last non-kids movie I've seen at the theater, or rented. (We have a 9 month old, and a 5 yr old).

Gravatar My bad. Watched Michael Clayton over the weekend and thought it was ok.

Gravatar Hmm, back in the day I loved the original Longest Yard and North Dallas Forty.

Gravatar if anyone says rudy, ill come through your screen....

Gravatar Semi-Tough and Heaven Can Wait, too.

Can you tell I grew up on HBO?

Gravatar afro,

tell me about i have a 11 month old and a 5 year old...

cars, nemo, incredibles, thats my area of expertise...

Gravatar BGH knows my favorite football movie, and I don't care if any of you don't like it.

Gravatar RUDY, RUDY, RUDY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gravatar baby mama was pretty good, but i expected a little more.

Gravatar "Rudy's a Fag."

Greatest Gameday t-shirt ever!!!

Gravatar Sooooooooooo,

Can we officially bury the fucking Tigers now?

The pitching has the worst ERA in baseball.

The team can't score runs on a consistent basis.

They are slow as fuck and can't manufacture runs.

To top it off, they are bad in the field as well.

Oh, and the manager is the most overrated in the history of Detroit professional sports.

Hey Hey Hockeytown!!!

Gravatar "rudy was offsides"

that was my favorite

Gravatar Gsimmons, that new Pixar movie Wall-E is out soon. Looks pretty good

Gravatar I went and saw fahrenheit 911, and the fat bitches in front of me were crying the entire time......Must have been President Bush's daughters or something?

Leo in Basketball Diaries is his best earlier work. Like the part when he is in the bathroom with the other guy..... Never got that, the guy gave Leo money to suck Leo off? I have never participated in anything like that before, but should it not be the other way around?

Gravatar RUDY is pure GOLD.You are just jealous because your bitches are FUGLY.

Gravatar rain,

yeah i took my 5 year old to see that bear movie.. dr seus thing, and we saw the preview for wall-e and the black movie about the kunj fu koala, he liked both of them... we will have to see them...

Gravatar Tigers = No motivation

Leyland = Lung Cancer

You see that Verlander in his last 7 starts has 7 runs (supporting him).

Gravatar Interesting in that when you watch most kids movies as a kid, they're great, but when you rewatch them as adults, most of the kids movies are pure garbage

Are kids' standards that low?

Gravatar Gsimmons, before Cars came out I went out and visited Pixar and took a tour and such. Fascinating place...

Gravatar Yahtzee,

I've got a GREAT fucking idea. Let's trot Gary Shitfield out there again this afternoon so he can hit into another double play!

All the while Mike Hessman is down in Toledo and has hit 18 home runs.

Jim Leyland!!!

Yeah!!!!

Gravatar WTB, i hope shrek I is exempt from that.

also, wall-e looks cool.

and, in case anyone was wondering..... if you go to see baby momma, don't expect to see the Dark Night trailer. there were no words to describe the disappointment.

Gravatar no real baseball fan buries their team before memorial day.

jay you are a fraud. get off the bandwagon now, no one will miss you.

Gravatar i actually think alot of the movies gregory likes, are pretty cool, just not after i see it 1000000000000 times....

cars is a great movie, as was monsters inc. and finding nemo

Gravatar Interesting in that when you watch most kids movies as a kid, they're great, but when you rewatch them as adults, most of the kids movies are pure garbage

Not ET. The ending makes me almost cry every time. I love that movie.

I'll be right here. Priceless.

Gravatar I couldn't watch Cars. I hate NASCAR and I hate a movie glorifying a series of gas-wasting events. The Incredibles was really good, but I don't think that it's really a kid's movie.

Gravatar I'm with BGH.

I don't even watch, listen, or read about baseball until after the All-Star game. The real season begins then. All these games are full of crap anyways.

No one cares we swept the Yankees and can't be the Royals. No one.

Gravatar BGH,

Apparently you misssed an entire decade of Tigers baseball. They were out of it every year before the end of April from the mid '90s until 2006.

You know whats cool? Calling people bandwagon fans.

Because nobody EVER does that.

And the people that call other fans "bandwagon" aren't slapdicks.

Nope.

Never.

Gravatar I just want to add that I found ET to be better and more meaningful when I watched it again as an adult.

Gravatar I liked Cars and The Incredibles. I like pretty much all the Pixar movies. None of 'em are really kids movies

Gravatar And WOW. We like a lot of children's movies in here. Who has kids in here?

No kids for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed Ratatouille.

I'm stoked about Wall-E, brah.

Gravatar I am more of a pussy than I thought.

Gravatar Musket,

From your truck post earlier. My buddy has a beautiful '78 Ford F250 on 40 in. tires with 20 in rims and a 4 or 6 in. lift. It is sweet and a lot of chicks dig it (this is in WA too, not MT). One time, we are at a stop light and a car with three smoking hot chicks pull up to us and ask him why his truck is so big. His response:

"because I have a small penis"

She just stared and said "at least your honest"

I yelled "I drive a Honda, so mine's normal"

She yells back "good for you" (obviously she didn't care)

So i told her, "Yeah, my mom and dad are real proud of that"

She didn't laugh, but I did and that's all that matters.

Gravatar Jay is gay. I would know.

Gravatar actually the movie had very little to do with nascar, it was really about a talking car who learned the imortance of helping people out...

and my kid loves the incredibles... disney made a fortune out of incredible toys, so i would say that makes it a kids movie, but i get your point, all those pixar movies are meant to have elements that make them enjoyable to adults as well...

Gravatar Musket,

that was me in that truck post.

Gravatar GSimms:
Gotta agree with the Pixar assessment- I think they actually put effort into makiong sure that taking the kids to the movies isn't an actual suckfest for the parents. I watched Monsters when i was baby-sitting my nephew and it was actually pretty good.

@The one guy talking football:
Big Will looks like he might be a Glen Dorsey kind of unstoppable. The idea of that much talent combined with Barwisization is downright scary. I refuse to even give any energy to the idea he might go "elsewhere" (no names- I'm superstitious). Could you provide link to the video you saw that shows him and Tetris Jones or let me know where to look for it?

Gravatar @gsimmons85

Preach it, brah. I know ALL the kids movies.

And the PIXAR movies are great, because they are fun enough for the kids, but usually deep enough for the adults. Ratatouille was great.

Gravatar Jay you've been itching to bury the Tigers since the day before the season started.

I don't disgaree that they have some serious problems, but the perverse joy you take in proclaiming their demise every time they lose a game is pathetic. You probably aren't a bandwagon fan, but you are the day after, armchair, self-important douche of a fan that everyone in the sports bar wants to slam through a plate glass window and piss on.

Gravatar And I HATE NASCAR, but I thought CARS was genius.

Gravatar first, i was handle-jacked @12:17.

second, jay, you are the "ironic mustache" of tigers fans. so edgy and cool. this team still has a chance to compete. one winning streak will put them right where they need to be. there still is 75% of the season left. so, yeah. saying the season is done right now is stupid. 8 games under 500 is bad, but not so bad it cant be corrected. did you watch the yankees last year? or the year before? these type of teams take a while to kick into gear.

its even more stupid for you to compare this team's record/current standing to that of the record of the 2000ish version of the tigers.

Gravatar I'd rather slam my dick in a George Foreman grill than watch sports with people like you, that seem to get no enjoyment unless the team is not just winning but dominating, is what I'm trying to say.

Were you mashing the buttons on your cell trying to call into Detroit radio stations today and scream for Babcock to bench Osgood and following up by proclaiming the Pistons have too much time off now and will be swept in the conference finals? Because honestly it wouldn't surprise me.

Gravatar Musket,

that was me in that truck post.
Keegan | 05.15.08 - 12:18 pm | #

Anyone who couldn't figure this out should be summarily shot.

Gravatar I know what Cars is about, but I just can't get over my hatred for NASCAR. I also thought that the plot was recycled a bit.

Have let your kids in on ET and Willy Wonka yet? Only problem is both might give them nightmares. When I was a kid I hated the part when ET and Eliot meet for the first time, and Willy Wonka was pretty dark. Two movies of my youth. Oh yeah, and Star Wars!

Gravatar I'm wondering, is there be a reason to worry that Barwisization might be making some players such as Terrance Taylor and Tim Jamison too small and light?

Gravatar @dex,

George Foreman's grill closes for shit.

That is all.

Gravatar the amount of work Pixar puts into its movies is astounding. Like traveling the world watching chefs cook so the cooks in Ratatouille performed properly. Or buying an old Hudson Hornet and driving the shit out of it and recording its exhaust sounds so it was perfectly accurate in its movements and sounds in Cars.
Fascinating.

Gravatar Vertical Limit, worst movie ever.

Gravatar gregory likes star wars, havent introduced him to et, partly becasue i dont care for it.... he likes fast cars..he likes monster trucks... his real love is trains...

and i have been throwing fast balls at him since he was 2 so he has trouble hitting off the tee. He can run a post route or a dig with the best of them, and will wrap, roll his hips, and drive his feet any time anyone gives him crap

typical 5 year old stuff.... and i bet he could whip most of your asses.

Gravatar I'll take that challenge, simmons. bring it on.

Gravatar Best of all time... Dr. Strangelove.

Worst? Thomas the Tank Engine and the Magic railroad. Took my son to it when he was three, and seriously contemplated pulling the fire alarm so I could get the hell out of there....

Gravatar I say bring it on too. My number was very high on this:

Gravatar gregory likes star wars, havent introduced him to et, partly becasue i dont care for it.... he likes fast cars..he likes monster trucks... his real love is trains...

its funny, when people are five, they can honestly and truly say their real love is trains. by the time they're 20, its boobs. cognitive and mental development is an amazing, confusing thing.

Gravatar ill have to talk with his agent, aka his mom....

gregory loves thomas, but i couldnt imagine a whole movie of that!!!

Gravatar You idiots must be really bored, talking about Disney and stupid movies.

ha.

Gravatar i mean cognitive and "physical" development.

Gravatar BGH, i see it as a natural progression, whats the problem there?

Gravatar I am a huge Pixar slappy. I will see Wall-E opening weekend.

I'm 90% sure gsimms five year old could kick my ass. I think I could take the 11 month old.

Gravatar The best football movie is the original "The Longest Yard" with Burt Reynolds.

Fuck that pussy ass remake version with Sandler.

Gravatar massey, now that you are here, we have something else to talk about..

Gravatar I can totally envision a naked dex sitting at his computer hitting refresh every time a new comment is posted.

Keegan on the other hand is wearing a diaper and eating cow.

Gravatar MRG,

Go take this quiz and find out:

http://www.howmanyfiveyearoldsco...keinafight.com/

Report back with the answer.

Gravatar Here's a movie premise:
A woman writes a letter to a guy two years in the future. He gets it, and writes back.
Whoever wrote that should have their chicken bag smashed with a white hot claw hammer that was soaked in salt and iodine.

Gravatar MRG,

im thinking eventually Brandent will be the more agressive of the two. Gregory is too sensitive and crap. product of his mother, but i have kept brandent out of that so far...

so you might want to get your licks in on him now... cuz im thinking in 2 years, it will be lights out...

Gravatar BGH, i see it as a natural progression, whats the problem there?
gsimmons85 | Homepage | 05.15.08 - 12:36 pm | #

no problem. the oppsoite, actually... its actually an awesome thing, especially if you are a parent, i'm sure.

little people are funny.

im going to fail at raising my children.

Gravatar Yup, Massey. Thought I smelled something.

Gravatar Don't knock a guy for liking kids movies. I've seen quite a few animated crapfests, but its pretty rare these days to find an adult (by that I mean pg-13 to R, not porn) movie that isn't full of political tripe or just plain sucks balls altogether.

Gravatar that seem to get no enjoyment unless the team is not just winning but dominating,
but you are the day after, armchair, self-important douche of a fan that everyone in the sports bar wants to slam through a plate glass window and piss on.

These should be in Webster's under "MI Footabll Fan". Priceless.

Gravatar @ Scalz nice mental image

Gravatar Ninja Football, what you smell is macaroni and cheese made by your moms.

Gravatar Mgobleu-
One word : Ladybugs.
Jaquee' has a performance of a lifetime.

Gravatar I can take on 16 munchkins. Note to self: Don't start shit in a kindergarden class.

Gravatar i can take 31...

no martial arts training hurt me most i think....

Gravatar @Mallett -
that was the condensed version. I when I say condensed, I mean enriched like flour.

Gravatar 22 five year olds. BRING IT ONNNNN!

Gravatar Dex,

It isn't joy, its anger. Its my way of venting. Believe me, I can't stand this. I was euphoric after the Cabrera trade and initially bought into the hype and thought the Tigers had a chance to get back to the Series. A couple of weeks before opening day, I started to realize that they did nothing this past offseason to improve on what was wrong with this team last year, and that was the pitching staff, the starters in particular.

Dontrelle Willis was shit last year with Florida. We've seen nothing to indicate he will be anything more than shit this year. DD made a terrible decision in giving him a contract extension before he ever pitched a game in a Tigers uniform. They're stuck with him now.

Same for Nate Robertson.

Manderbon is Manderbon, which is an overpaid 4th starter on a true contending team.

Verlander inexplicably has lost his velocity and is no longer feared by anyone.

Pine tar boy Kenny Rogers is 96 years old.

I still believe Cabrera will ultimately be a terrific ballplayer.

Gary Shitfield should be on the 60 day DL. He has no business playing right now.

Carlos Guillen will be in a wheelchair before the end of the season.

Renteria has very little range and is over the hill defensively. I'd sure like to have JJ back. I didn't like that trade when it happened.

I don't see this team improving much. They don't have much in the way of pitching prospects in the minors that can help them this year. They will struggle to be a .500 ball club all year.

Gravatar ive got a premise for a movie:

one day, big charlie weis wakes up with an amazing super power. he has the midas touch. only, everything he touches turns to hamburgers! dubbed the "burger king touch," charlie at first loves his new powers. his stapler? boom! its spicey baconater. his wife? boom! a double whopper.

soon, though, charlie has eaten all his entire family and all his worldly possesions. he's sad and lonely and fatter than ever. "it is my gift and my curse," mumbles big charlie, heartbroken. finally, he ends it all by touching and eating every single of his appendages.

Gravatar Anyone know where I can find a translator for Massey? I'm not fluent in Idiot.

Gravatar M4B:

FIREWALLLLLL! [shaking fists to the sky]

Gravatar Someone with some computer ability could just insert Charlie tuna into this one...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q...h? v=qp0WBiME_fM

Gravatar Wait why is Massey thinking about me naked at my computer?

Gravatar mrg,

thats funny, becasue a highschool teacher with a known viloence problem is able to look at a website about beating up kids, but you are not... how funny is that...

Gravatar @ Ninja

You are truly fluid in IDIOT and are it's leader.

Gravatar I know you guys hate conspiracy theories, but I have one:

I think the posters like Massey, DOMER, troll, that one chick Dana, etc. aren't actually trolls. I think they are actually just one of us regulars that gets bored and likes to start shit.

I mean, NO ONE could pretend to be as stupid as these guys are. So it's obviously just a ruse to get people fired up in here.

Gravatar i could take 26 5 year olds.

Gravatar Waymen:

From what I've read the S&C program focuses a lot on balance and striking strength- I wouldn't worry much about those guys getting too light.

Gravatar interesting but flawed theory mr blackie.

Gravatar MRG,

Sorry. People don't trust the Internets.

I'm guessing you could take 5-6 kids? This is based off of your post calling out gsims 11-month old.

Does that sounds about right?

Gravatar I bet they are all BGH

Gravatar mr blackie has a little wee wee. His baby's mama laughed at it.

Gravatar Ninja, its on the Front page of Rivals.

Gravatar I think Dana is actually real and the other two are imposters. Seriously- "fluid" in idiot? Even Buckeyes aren't that dense. Anyone who was would have a problem locating the interweb in the first place.

Gravatar dex,

who doesn't think about that?

Afro,

I've thought about it being a regular just fucking around. I think it's a kid that just gets bored, maybe a rival fan, that just comes here to push buttons to see if shit will hit the fan. Anytime there is a response, they get a laugh out of it and keep throwing fuel on the fire. I just ignore them now but it took awhile for me to get savvy enough to figure that out.

Gravatar heyyy now, i may not be the sweetest dude in existence but i'm totally above faux trolling and handle jacking.

Gravatar i would be afraid that i wouldnt be able to get my handle bakc if i trolled. That and my calling card would give me away everytime...

Gravatar Wow, you proved my point in your very next post? You ARE awesome.

You mean you can actually tell the color of my skin from an internet handle? Brilliant.

Hey, at least I can tell all my black friends that I "have felt the sting of racism" now. Sweet. Thanks.

Gravatar I think the reason it took me awhile to figure out what was going on was because I didn't think people had that much free time or were that annoying/immature, but I've learned that's basically the person the internet was designed for. For me, it's like a bar without having to see the morons and the booze is cheaper. Harder to pull tail on a forum though.

Gravatar I have a confession:

it's been me 25% of the time.

Gravatar Thanks Staines. I'm at work and can't do too much searching without getting called out.

Gravatar The OL Shrive just went to PSU. He was a ND lock. Sorry to interupt, but I am usually wrong anyway. But we were a long shot at best. At least we didn't lose a kid to a 97 year old head coach that has actually been dead for 7 years. Way to go Charlie.

Gravatar Gentleman's agreement?

Gravatar @ Keegan

It took you so long to figure it out because you are a retard. Fluid (for real)

Gravatar the only gentleman's agreement i adhere to is the one where you don't look at another dude's package in the locker room.

Gravatar @M4B

That link was great...31 kids BTW.

Gravatar @ Keegan

It took you so long to figure it out because you are a retard. Fluid (for real)
Massey | 05.15.08 - 12:56 pm | #

Not me.

What's funny is that this reminds me of the movie Scream, where you think there's only 1 troll/killer, but it's actually being manipulated by multiple people. I think there at least 3 Masseys out there right now. So I will take a break and go back to my Musket Rebellion Handle.

Gravatar NEW POST

Gravatar @ M4B: I could probably take 3-4 five year olds.

UM wasn't really in on Shrive, so I guess I'm glad he went to PSU as opposed to ND.

Gravatar 5 year-olds are tougher than a lot of you think. If you hesitated for a second against like 12 of them because they're little and cute you'd be totally done for.

Only a psychotic douchebag whose mother died in his arms after being molested for days on end by vagabond desert savages and who sold his soul to the devil to become master of death and who is armed with and knows how to use an impossible to defend against laser sword could take on 20+ 5 year-olds

Gravatar Haha - I got handle jacked to lie about handle jacking. This just turned into a riotous affair.

Gravatar @Big Gay

I think your take on TGI Fridays is right on. That buster chef is eating his meal like his shit don't stink. I have never seen anyone eat like that (thankfully). Then to say that Friday's has some sluts just waiting for you to take them "dancing or whatever" (as Guy puts it is way off base. Friday's seems like a date place, I've never seen a harem there.

Furthermore their "right portion right price" deal is misleading. Yeah the stuff on their is cheap, but it sucks, why would I go to fucking friday's for pasta? And their drinks are outrageously priced - paid 7 dollars for a mix drink one time and I don't think it had a drop of liquor in it.

Gravatar If I'm not mistaken, it was Rick Ruben that transformed the Cult from "Love" to "Electric"... and then Sonic Temple. That's like transforming the Cure into Led Zep. The man's a genius.
