Being able to use cousins of ReST would really be nice -- thanks for asking!
ReST is sometimes awkward relative to them for code snippets and other required-indent things as well as links where you cite the URL explicitly.
Sure do like the ideas of rest2web
I'll look at adding other markups. Using explicit URLs in ReST is easy - just put a URL (docutils automatically turns it into a link.)
As for code snippets, I use a macro which generates colorized output (as you can see in parts of this blog which uses the same macros).
Anyway - any preference on which markups you want to see ?
