hi Fuzzy, I have a couple of those NSLU2s. I 'unslung' them using a distro from nslu2-linux.org. The only real advantage of doing that over the stock Linksys OS is that you can then ssh into your box, install other apps, etc.
At first I tried running Apache or other webservers on the NSLU2, but there's so little RAM that eventually everything just hung. they're also abominably slow at serving up images, so unless I host all my images elsewhere they won't be of much use. So hosting my blog on them is out :-(
Now I'm back to just using them for what I originally intended: network storage.

Cool. I'll probably just use them for storage as well - it's just interesting that you can do other stuff with them.
Of course they ought to provide a way of upgrading the memory.
