Well, if 2->3 migration tools don't happen (aw, c'mon, somebody will write them, even if imperfect), helping the upgrade will be a good way for relatively amateur Pythonistas (like me) to help out their favorite projects.
That's a good idea, unfortunately there always seem to be more tasks than volunteers.
It looks like the migration tools Jeremy is working on should be *very good* though, even if not perfect.
