is it a "movable ironpython/mono" distribution? or is the prerequisite for ironpython to have win xp sp2?

Movable Python is Windows only.
It comes with the .NET version of IronPython - which requires .NET not Mono.
Movable Python itself can be configured for any interpreter, so if you were running Mono on windows and compiled IronPython for Mono it could use that as an interpreter.
