Have you tried http://buildbot.sourceforge.net/ ? My company used a custom script before and we recently switched to buildbot because it did everything we wanted and more. Just curious if you ran into any specific issues with it. From what I know about cruise control buildbot implements a similar set of features. The twisted install is a little heavy but a little noodling and it was done. Python itself is tested with it : http://www.python.org/dev/buildbot/
We haven't tried buildbot.
If we need to move from our current system to a bigger testing system then we will certainly consider it.
I wonder if buildbot can cope with running an IronPython test framework.
