Bad news for our beloved CPython. Good news for dynamic languages though.

Google should hire the best (GvR) to work fulltime on python 3000. This is the only way to save our beloved cult! Maybe. :P

Gravatar I don't see it as bad news for CPython. The IronPython team are still following the CPython implemenation very carefully and Guido is still leading the way with Python 3.

In the long run, ore users of Python means good news for Python...

Gravatar Hi Fuzzy.

I didn't say "bad for the python dynamic language, we like and prefer". I said "bad for CPython -- the religious cult".

How?
Well, just wait until Novell starts shipping Mono&IronPython on its default build instead of CPython. And then until programmers start using .NET features.

But a good thing finally that MS has switched to fully dynamic stuff nontheless!
