I did actually post to comp.lang.python as well (more to raise awareness of the thing than anything else, since by the time I posted the registration had been snowed under). There is an IET mailing list (apparently) which is how most of the people there got to hear of it, I imagine. Thanks for your post back to python-uk; I'll respond to that there.
