I've been doing Windows development on my MBP since last November and I'm very happy with my setup. My PC runs linux and vmware server so all my Win environments are virtual. I have different ones for qa, dev, etc. I run vmware fusion on my mbp instead of parallels so if I leave the office for a few days I copy whatever vms I need from my pc and run them from my mbp.
