Michael knows this already, but just for his manifold readership - all that messing with spam filters has been completely obsoleted for me by signing up for spamarrest.com last year. The maintains a sender whitelist for me. All outgoing mails I send go through them so they can add recipients onto the whitelist. Everyone else has to pass a captcha page (once) before their mail reaches my inbox. I haven't seen a single piece of spam since, in a whole year.
