Or maybe they plug it in every night like a milk float,or maybe there's medium sized jet enjine aboard which powers the alternators, which feed the conductors that lead all over the place to run the top secret high-tech thrusters that stick out the hull in all directions that are co-ordinated via satelite and a computer called Hal 9000? SAM! They called it Daring because all the 45's will start with a D and it sounds hard! Like Broadsword, Battleaxe etc, no good calling it the Skylark fer christ's sakes if your going to blast some (weaker) nation's boats out the waatter.

Are you positive they didn't leave out an l in the name? HMS Darling sounds sooo right and 21st century for the RN chaps. Unless they're not ready for that yet.
If memory serves they often name ships after earlier ones. If so what ships have had the name previously?
