I'm glad you've decided not to give up blogging FX - and I just saw some nasty news about typhoons in Taiwan, so I hope your daughter is safe.
Typhoons always claim a few lives in taiwan and sweep away afew villages . Mostly its a free public holiday as everyone must stay home. This one looks like its the worst for a long time as the mudslides seem to have claimed 100+ lives.
The kid is alright she is in Kaohsiung city a few ks 100?? from Shoalin [spelling is changable even over there] we have been to Meiniong not far from disaster for holidays.
over here in Weesp its 22C , i'm sunburnt,and windy. Just spent today riding bikes into Amsterdam and getting lost on way back. Tomorrow Rotterdam, Tuesday Muiden, Naarden, Abcoude biking, next maybe Haarlem and Amst again. Food dear, biking no hills, beer good, coffee patchy to bad, water plentifull in Scotland, Ireland, Netherlands, - hard life but ...etc etc....carry on Melbourne
1 am- i'm watching late night tv - american infotainment about visions and curing by jesus subtitled in dutch and interspersed with reasonabley explicit dutch sex adverts.

just been txting daughter- she's just got back from being a local volunteer in the hills typhoon effected. she said its heartbreaking helping families bucket out mud from their houses
