er.. i find if i swatch flat then switch to circ i get diff guage (circs are much looser). did you swatch flat or circ? but i'm a newbie so what do i know other than swatches lie and i mostly do them to see if i can understand the pattern instructions and to worry out errors. i don't stress too much about tension on them.
